So, this opener was extremely unorthodox, I've only seen it in action once, at my university with my friend, and unfortunately, I don't have the balls to pull it off myself. However, I did manage to catch the entire routine, and I need your guys' opinion on it. Here goes:

So there I was, walking to class with my friend at my university. Suddenly, my friend excused himself and goes up to a girl, with a sticky note pad and pen in hand, gives her an "excuse me", and asks her a simple question (in my case, it was "hey, sorry, excuse me, hate to bother you, but I just needed to know, do you like my shirt?". In this case, she didn't have much time to reply, as my friend (who was writing on the note pad this entire time) slapped a note on his chest that read "I think you're really freaking cute". The girl was stunned and just started laughing. My friend held frame with a smile and just asked her "what, what's so funny?". She couldn't decide what answer to give him, so she pretty much just said "that is just totally freakin cute" and my friend laughed and said "thanks! Glad to see you liked my shirt" and introduced himself. They chatted for about a minute before he put in a time restraint (class was in 10 minutes) and asked for her number and got it.
