They obviously don't act the way guys do - or respond to our usual slew of approach techniques - so in a way it seems women are better at avoiding sex than cultivating it.

That's because of the way you're choosing to look at it.

However biologically it stands to reason (and from what I've read) women do have a pretty strong sex drive and I'd like to find out from some experts here on the signals these women put off and in what ways they actually are trying to get laid...

Here's the thing. It's not that women are "trying to get laid," and failing. It's that guys blow the girl's cover and create a situation where girls have a no-win choice in front of them. It's that girls have extenuating circumstances due to culture, which guys don't have to deal with..... Guys reaffirm their manhood when it's known that they're sexually active. Girls reaffirm their womanhood by being selective. We know this. We know that slut is a bad word and stud is a good word.

Girls have to worry about social repercussions to sex. Reputation, etc. Rail all you want about how this shouldn't be the case, it doesn't change reality.
Girls have to worry about the impact of sex on their own self-image. Read: they can be as hard, or harder on themselves than their peers are.

As such, their hands are largely tied if they want to maintain a healthy self-image and suffer no social repercussions from their sexual activity.

Taking too direct a hand in things or being too blunt about sexual overtures is something they're usually socialized against.
They openly encourage guys to take action and kick things off. It doesn't take much, and they are often quite good at subtly guiding the guy's hand.

The problem is, guys are often pretty good at avoiding sex, too, by being oblivious or uncaring about the different situation women are dealing with when it comes to sex. Men often make the whole approach to sex TOO blunt, where it can impact their self-image by bringing them face to face with their own sexuality. Being too blunt also gives the girl too much of a chance to second guess herself with fear.

Guys can often make their whole approach too public, which can result in the threat of social repercussions.

Activating either of these situations causes the girl to lapse into ASD and LMR in an attempt to salvage and/or protect their self-image and/or reputation. And some guys just keep pushing even when the best play would be to play it cool, acting as if girls play by the same rules as guys.

Women are run by feelies which means most of the time they're on auto pilot. They don't actively try to get laid all the time, it's just that when they find someone attractive they can't help themselves. That's why it's so important to be the leader and show her the way to your bed for men because she won't do it.

What? They absolutely respond to approaches. Heck, they even send "approach invitations" so that men will approach. Learn to read body language (IOIs included) better by reading Superflirt, Superdate, and You Say More Than You Think (I helped on this one), and no, I don't have PDFs. :) Read all the sidebar help too. And google "approach invitation" and "Indicator of Interest."

Also, deal with your self limiting beliefs. If you think women are trying to avoid sex, then for you, that is true. If you think they don't respond to approaches, then that too, for you is true.

I think, it has more to do with the quality and duality a lot of women have towards men they want to fuck, and men they want to have around. Obviously, their reputation is coveted and not something they're really willing to throw away to get a lay, especially with just the sheer amount of weak, low-value men around to validate them at a moment's notice; but women are actually validated on a biological level by sexual desire by high value men. In my experience, women get horny when I'm horny because of them.

Look, girls are just as horny as guys (even more so from the girls I am currently dating). The thing is, they are horny for the top 20% of men. They are horny as fuck, like "holy shit I am trying to work right now stop sending me nudes".

Okay so I've read a bunch of stories about how evolution, society etc. impact female psychology explaining how women are as much horny as men but don't express it as well as men. But my theory is women aren't as horny as men for sex. They are "horny" for something emotional whereas men are "horny" for sex. So they both kinda make this "deal" with each other (unconsciously) about fulfilling each other's wants.
