You guys have shown me a lot! In 2014 I went into my first long term relationship, i'd like to share with you how that turned out so it can be a learning experience for me and anyone else who is new to this stuff.
This story starts in September 2014.
I was a confident person, in a good job with good job prospects. I didn't give fuck had good friends and good confidence. I met a girl on a work night out, she was gorgeous. I didn't care though. I could see from her body language she liked me. I took her by the hand without saying anything. I looked her in the eyes and pulled her onto the dance floor, we danced, I got other random people involved, some random old couple they loved it. She was having hell of a time. I pulled her in close and she was looking at my lips, then my eyes, then my lips. She wanted me to kiss her. I smiled then walked away to the bar. She actually physically gasped and fell forward. I was fucking with her and she loved it. She was cute but I'd had cuter. I didn't care I was there to have fun.
I went off and spoke to my friends. She came over to me at about midnight when I was outside then she asked me for my number and I gave it to her. She texted me immediately saying she had a good night. I replied with "We should meet up next week when I am back from my trip." She agree'd. I didn't text her for a week. I didn't need to. Then two days before I said we'd meet I set the date and time. She told me she was worried I forgot about her. I told her I did! She loved it.
I was filled with abundance, I wanted this girl sure but didn't need her. I figured "Why not date her? May as well" that was the level of abundance I am talking about here.
We went out, lots of talking, lots of kino. It was a fantastic date I have to say, it was classy and she had one hell of a good time. She was awkward at first but by asking the right questions she opened up like a book. We talked for 5 hours in the restaurant. I say we talked, she talked. I took her home, kissed her good night then left.
I didn't text her or call, The next day she texts me saying she had an amazing time and would love to meet again.
I continued this for months, she went crazy! She told me she was head over heels in love with me within 2 months of dating. She'd tear my clothes off when she set eyes on me. She'd bail on family and friends for the slight chance she would get to fuck me. It was crazy, she was utterly fixated on me.
Roll on a year. Roll on to the time I told her I loved her. Let skip to the time when I started to "need" her.
We are exclusive, I start to relax, I show my vulnerable side, I show my insecurities, I show her that I see her as my partner, she moves into my place.
I stop seeing my friends to spend time with her. I start pushing her to go on dates. I start to have to ask her for sex. I start to notice she looses interest. I get needy. She says jump I say how high? I start to say yes to everything she suggests or asks. I stop having the abundance mentality. I start to think that she is "the one".
Dec 2015. She leaves. I feel broken. I beg for her back. Me the guy who didn't care at all a year and a half before. I chase her. She tells me her feelings have changed and she does not know why.
There is one key lesson I learned from this experience. Never leave the Alpha mentality, never become completely vulnerable and never "need" a woman. Anyone here who is going into their first LTR please learn form my mistakes.
Onitis is real, it does not mean that you can't have a loving relationship for life! That is not what it means, it means you should not treat or believe a girl is the only one and your self-worth must never depend on them. When you become needy it's like the anti-poon. When you stop wanting and start needing it's the beginning of the end unless you nip that behaviour in the bud.
