Here is the infield audio: http://kamillyczko.com/goals/daygame-goals/
I really didn't feel like going out today and doing daygame, mostly because of my anxiety. But I pushed past this resistance that I was feeling and just did it. I got on the bus and then the train and headed for downtown.
I'm already accustomed to the city, but I usually have a really hard time approaching within the first 10 minutes. This time I set a time limit to approach within the first 5 minutes and if I didn't I was just going to go home. If you're walking around for half an hour and you haven't opened anyone , you already lost. Excuses will flood your mind and you will be lost and confused.
Tip # 1 When you go out, make sure that you set a timer for 5 - 10 min. And if you haven't approached anyone within that time frame than just go home. Walking around for hour and hours will only make your vibe negative and it will make you feel weird. The last thing you want when daygaming is to feel weird. This will only discourage you from going out next time.
Tip # 2 Set Goals. I used to amble around the city without a purpose. My goal was to have spontaneous conversations. But this never worked out well, and I just wasted a shit ton of time not doing anything. Setting goals will give you a direction, and will help you with calming your anxiety. Set simple goals, such as: today I will approach 5 people and ask them for directions to Starbucks. And each time you go out make the goals a bit more challenging. But don't overdo it.
Tip # 3 Be consistent. I've been doing daygame for about 7 months now and I've maybe improved by 5%, this is because I went out one week and another week I stayed home. If you want to get good at something, you have to practice daily. I'd recommend going out at least 3 times a week, and when you do go out, make sure you open at least 10 people. Daygame is a great way to improve your social skills, but don't neglect socializing during your normal day to day activities. This will give you extra point towards developing those social skills.
