I know that people in this sub agree that ''What you say during the conversation doesn't matter. It's how you say it''
I concede that I really have some big doubts about this theory. I mean, even in peoples Field Reports, peoples sentences are picked apart. ''You shouldn't have said that...that was needy'', ''noooo....that was a boring reply'' etc etc. Why would people encourage FR's and also pick their interactions apart if what they said didn't matter?
Anyway, this leads me onto my question - Since a big part of game seems to be the ability to make funny comebacks, ask interesting questions, be able to spot the opportunities to 'tease' girls etc, is there anything in particular which helps with these abilities?
I'd always hoped that 'practice' would be the best bet, but I don't feel much further along now than I did some 400 approaches ago.
As one example of hundreds, I mentioned to someone earlier that after opening a girl at the bar with a compliment on her cardigan last night, she seemed very receptive and told me that some guy she barely knows gave it to her moments earlier as a gift. This would have given most people all kinds of ammunition for a good tease, or a good comeback, or just something funny to say, to create some attraction i'm sure. I mean, it's quite an unusual thing to happen to someone? But my brain just sort of froze. I was in my head, and all I could say was something boring like ''that was nice of him''. I think I then went on to bore her with logical questions and ask what make it was and stuff! Very lame.
The guy I mentioned this to earlier said he would have replied with something like ''So when's the wedding?'' or something like that which is much better than my reply. But how to I make my brain come up with better replies and better conversation in general, for that matter?
