Soooooo,

I don't want to be a negative nelly or nothing like that. I just post this to show the other side of things because this sub is overall very positive and I think it's important for people to hear the other side so they don't give up when character building moments happen.

So I've been pushing myself to initiate more conversations, specifically those with the opposite sex. So there have been great moments through the process so far, and even the moment I am about to share is a positive, but there have been some shitty moments. There are going to be times you tell yourself, "I'm going to talk to that girl" and it won't happen. I tried texted out to some acquaintances to meet for lunch, something outside of my comfort zone normally. Their response? Literally nothing.

Obviously, initially I was very frustrated and annoyed with the situation. I'd rather someone make a shitty excuse than to not even have the respect to respond at all. But guess what? Two positives still come from this: 1) I now know these are people I don't need to waste effort on getting to know better. Why would I want to be friends with people who aren't respectful anyways? and 2) that's life. People are gonna reject you, be rude, be disrespectful, and you're gonna keep on rolling along and doing your thing anyways. I figure this is nothing compared to rejections I will face down the line, so at the very least, it boosts my toughness.

The point of this post is to just let you guys know you aren't alone if you're grinding to become better with people(and women) and are facing challenges. It is normal when trying anything new that it is going to go 100% right from the get go. Persevere and use it to motivate you to even higher heights! The phrase "this moment shall too pass" has become a moto for helping me through the tough moments. Hang in there guys, everything is gonna be alright :)
