Hey all, I'm a 21 year old male finishing up college at a well known university in the Boston area. I met a girl at a bar a couple weeks ago and completely fell for her. We connected in so many ways. It doesn't hurt that this girl is absolutely gorgeous. She told me she was a 19 year old sophomore at a college a couple miles from mine, studying the same thing that I'm studying.

We start hanging out, doing couplesy things, and texting all day but every once in a while, she would send me a text out of nowhere like "This needs to stop. I don't want to hurt you. I'm sorry". And then I would text her back and inevitably she would get back to me. She also would never go out to public places with me. I would constantly try to take her out to dinner and we'd make plans and then she would tell me she was running late and that we should just stay in and order a pizza. Also she always came to me. Whenever I offered to drive to her school, she would make up an excuse. And when we facetimed, she would always be at her parents' house, which she told me she went home to almost every night because it was only a couple miles from her campus. So for no particular reason, I look her up on facebook and can't find her but I can find her on instagram. The bio says "18, senior at BLANK HS". At first I think nothing of it, I just assume she hasn't updated the bio in like 18 months. I don't do any hardcore internet stalking but in retrospect I should have.

A couple days pass and she sends me another text trying to cut it off. This time, she stands her ground. I'm heartbroken and finally start doing some real internet stalking. I find her twitter. Like her instagram, it says shes an 18 year old at BLANK HS. Some of her tweets are retweets of things like "HS Problems" and tweets to her friends about going someplace after school etc. I finally put everything together, kick myself for being so stupid and call her to confront her. I dialed thinking I would be angry but instead I found myself barely being able to raise my voice above a whisper as I asked her whether my suspicions were correct. She denied it at first but ultimately relented. She texted me back a long apology and told me that she is still a senior in HS, she's 18 and going to be 19 soon (she started Kindergarten late or something) and that she doesn't even expect a response from me. I responded that I still think the world of her and that I wish her the best.

We've started texting again. She left something at my place. She's using it as pretense to come to my apartment and get it. What would you do if you were me?

EDIT: I initially posted this in the r/dating subthread. I've been a longtime TRP lurker. I would consider myself pretty red pill with a couple reservations. I understand that this post makes me seem soft but I had a crush on this girl in a way that I never have before. For perspective, I'm a good looking, in shape guy at a tip-top university with an active social life and a very promising, "prestigious" career lined up. I get with a fair amount of girls and always have a couple of "plates spinning" as you guys say. I also don't consider myself the type to have sex and get emotional. I recently ended things with a girl I was casually dating because she was getting too couplesy and throwing too much bull shit at me even though I had told her not to do those things so I just stopped texting and calling her. I guess I typed all of that so I don't get 30 replies along the lines of "typical beta behavior. A real alpha would have deleted the girl's number without even confronting her."
