It's a good idea, stop playing it safe because she will eventually assume you are incompetent about sexual relations and lose interest in getting something going with you. You need to make gradual progress, figure out some plan how you imagine getting more intimate with her. The thing is you should not be dull and obvious about it, don't prepare any confession but rather keep coming closer and closer, look at her longer and longer, make your conversations more personal, touch her gently, use deep and slow voice, get some unique moments together etc.

She doesn't view you as a sexual partner, she views you as a friend. You established this relationship by not being straightforward with your intentions from the first time. I think that it is a lost case to be honest.

Don’t make emotional decisions dude, if you feel pressure to ask her out because “it’s Valentines and it’s romantic”, no dude. If you haven’t established sexual interest and received reciprocated affection yet, this is a recipe for disaster. I would know. There's a chance you've already put yourself in the friendzone, as you talked to her for 12 hours straight on one occasion and did not escalate physically or verbally, and then you had another platonic conversation with her for 7 hours.

Chances are, you probably revealed far too much information about yourself and she no longer views you as a viable sexual partner. Don't go and try to set stuff up for valentines day. That's a day reserved for women you are seeing exclusively or take more seriously. If you do this it will suggest that you are far too interested in her and probably be weirded out as to why you are asking a girl to hangout on valentines day when you have done nothing romantic together.

Just ask her what her availability is to hang out on a date. She could be interested in you, but after 19 hours of alone time talking about your personal life you probably put yourself in the friend zone and revealed far too much about yourself. If she rejects you move on and apply this new knowledge to the next woman that enters your life.

Also, do not do movie dates. You can not escalate with her and you can't even seduce her because you all will be sitting quietly watching a movie, don't do a movie date.

If she does agree to go on a date with you, you have to escalate and make the moves, women will almost never do that, it is always on the man to direct the relationship where he wants it to go, which included physical escalation.

You are friendzoning yourself lol. Usually I would say go for it, and just be bold but the problem is this is a coworker so it's not a great situation if it blows up. You have to start slowly making stuff romantic to test the waters.
