Dude go join a church. If you want tons of girls who want LTRs.
Also, every woman I know wants a LTR.

i'm not a pro by any stretch but, what age / type of girls have you been dating?? and where are you specifically meeting them??
i know plenty of 'women' who are looking for LTR, but like you probably guess, they are older 30+
i also know plenty of girls who also SAY they are fishing for 'the fantasy of the one', but their actions and choice of men prove otherwise

My experiences, too. The few proper dating events I’ve ever gone to I was the youngest by 8 years. Awkward to say the least...
I was wondering if it’s a cultural thing or throughout the US. Most of the girls I’ve gone out with are 26-28. From NYC so we’re obviously a very liberal place when it comes to trends. No one here wants commitment and it’s getting frustrating bothering to wait for others to get the same bug when I’ve had it since graduating college.
Guess I was wondering if it’s something that would be different out in the Midwest or is this change in norms/mindset throughout the country and there’s really no escaping it?

Wtf are you talking about? The extreme majority of women want LTRs.

Not in my neck of the woods. Where are you from?
[–]FlakeyGhost 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
The United States. Big college city too.

K so you’re gonna troll. Got it
If you actually travelled the US we don’t all think alike. Midwestern vibe and values are VERY different from Northeast (as are Deep South, Texans, Northwest, Southwest). Culture dictates norms. It’s not an out there assumption. Just look at the last election....
People groupthink because they are raised by j certain ideals. That’s why regions have different philosophies than others.

I’ve lived around the country. I’m not trolling.
Girls on the extreme majority want LTRs no matter where they are.

Guess we share different experiences then...?
idk. Me and my friends have the same issue with women here. They usually want sex after the first date. One of my friends is one of those ‘sex before marriage’ types. Attractive looking and very tall. But when he tells girls this they either back off quick or take it as a challenge to get him laid with them.

Wish I had that problem. Good luck man.

you're projecting your own desires and preferences onto society
[–]proforrange -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Nah not really. Look at TV and movies. It’s always the guy who is the scumbag or non committed type. And people take on that shit as if it’s real life.

I feel that part of the frustration men have today is that the tables have turned. Men want the LTR and settle down, while women are more DTF and not wanting a commitment.
Na mate, YOU want a LTR and settle down, not necessarily all men, the women you've interacted with are DTF and don't want commitment, not women in general.
Society is fucking made up of billions of individuals, and they don't agree on anything. If you're not finding women who want a committed relationship that speaks not about women in general, but about the women that you associate with.

There’s always a general group think. A trend where most people goes a specific direction. A generation grows up in similar media, events, ideas, etc. that’s why there’s always a generation that thinks in line of each other rather than the previous. Obviously exceptions too.
I get the reason why it’s happening. More women are career oriented. Our laws suck for child birth so there’s the fear of losing your career while having a child. But I just get annoyed that our attitudes as a culture haven’t changed. In fact, there seems to be even more flack against men than ever before.

Well, again, you're wrong and you're projecting.
Don't ask questions like 'do women want ltr's?' if you've already drawn your own conclusions and won't accept other answers.

Are you referring specifically to monogamous LTRs?
[–]duckfeatherduvet 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's almost as if women don't have one hive mind and different women want different things from life! Crazy!
Obviously... It’s just annoying what is projected in society and in actual real life. Seems like the complete opposite for me...
