“Thanks for talking to me...”

So I’m in the middle of a 30-day challenge where I try and approach 5 girls a day, or at least 1 at minimum to finally get over my approach anxiety.

Anyway yesterday I’m at this outdoor mall standing outside of a shop and I see this really pretty girl coming towards me, the whole point of me being there is to approach girls so I try and catch her eyes and we actually make eye contact briefly. Now at this moment is when ideally I would’ve approached but I’ll be honest and say that I froze up and couldn’t get myself to do it. However about 20 mins later as I’m getting ready to leave the shopping center for the day I turn a corner and pass her while she’s in line at a kiosk for some yogurt. I walk past her again but this time I couldn’t do this to myself - I turn around and go up and talk to her. This is the mini field report:

Anyway I just wanted to share this for anybody who is also maybe dealing with AA rn and show you how positive an interaction can still be even if it doesn’t necessarily lead anywhere. During the set this girl was super nice and receptive even though my AA still keeps me from fully expressing myself. And even though I didn’t get her number I could tell she genuinely appreciated me going up and talking to her; probably because just as I had done that first time when I saw her and made eye contact but didn’t actually approach a lot of guys do the same so she appreciated when a guy had the balls to go up and actually talk to her. Just my two cents from this interaction and to anybody struggling with AA as well, just keep pushing past it - I know we can all get through it together

Even if we are using what Mark Manson teaches, he only did one thing right and that was talk to her.

He done more than that according to manson. He showed his intent straight away. Showing vulnerability and confidence in doing so. That's basically all there is to 'game' according to Manson. He also asked for her number. That's it. Job done. So i'd disagree with you there. In terms of Manson he DID 'run game' just fine

But I agree he didn't run game properly according to oldschool gam theory where he should have negged her, done some palm reading or 'strawberry fields' etc and told some DHV stories. But as I say, there's no one correct way. Many PUA coaches disagree greatly.

Out of interest, what would you have done/said for that kind of day game set? How would you have run it?

I personally only really do nightgame and tend to run more of an RSD model, so no 'rules' really. Just self amuse, and if she's into me, start to pepper in intent and escalate. (Although I did tryr mysterymethod for the first year of my game. Didn't work for me at all personally)

You really believe that all you have to do is walk up and compliment a girl on her looks before asking her a few generic questions and then just asking her for her number? Asking for a girls number straight up like that is not suggested by anyone.

If I was in his situation then I would probably go direct as well but I would say something less generic like "hey, I saw you a little while ago and I was trying my best not to come talk you because you look like trouble. (Smirking) the cute ones always get me into the most trouble. Anyways after crossing paths with you again, although I'll probably regret it, I just could not help myself. Do you believe in fate?"

Now it's hard to say how the conversation will go because it's unpredictable but I would avoid any generic conversation by all means. I want to make the interaction feel like something out of a movie. Early on I would plant the insta date into the false time constraint by throwing in that I was on my way to go get a smoothie and I was about to leave after that.

I would make cold reads about her instead of asking any questions and I would relate to her with a short dhv story on whatever the topic is. Then I would qualify her with the next cold read. Something like "you seem like the outgoing type, I like how you don't seem to have a problem talking to a random guy like this." After that I would be able to judge her interest at that point by seeing if she ask me my name or something. Then I will know if she's a yes or no girl at that point and I can determine if I want to put in more effort or not.

Numbers are irrelevant to me so I'm going to try to pull the insta date next. I'll seg into it by saying something like "actually you seem pretty cool". Actually works great because it implies you didn't think they were cool before or something. It's like she has earned your interest. "I'm parched tho why don't you join me for a like 5 minutes to go get a drink from so and so, but only if you don't like the taste of kale, I don't trust people who like kale".

The only if gives an illusion of standards in a way lol. The kale joke is to spark an emotional high. Then I'll just lead her like she's going to come for sure. If she doesn't come right away I'll still say " it'll just be a minute, just keep me company for a sec." Then if she still refuses I count it as a loss.

At that point if Im still into her I'll say something funny like "that's fine I guess I'll just go drink my kale free healthy drink all by myself like a loser, (smile) but hey let's follow each other on instagram (or snapchat) and we'll get out social circles together and have some fun"

While we get our phones out to do that I'll try to set the date right then. "Actually I was going to meet up with some friends tonight ( or tomorrow, or this weekend) at so and so, I'll hit you up and see if you're as cool as you seem." You can invite them to anything but I try to make it seem like a hangout and not a formal date. Also its going to be something tgat doesnt rely on them coming. It will seem like something I'm going to do regardless of if she wants to come or not.

If she gets a drink with me then I pretty much start over from there and try to keep hanging out as long as possible. I might say now lets go smoke a joint before I leave. Then lets get some pizza and go back to my place or hers and watch that thing we were talking about or play video games. Each time I get her to bounce Im going to start the process over and start setting up the next thing I want her to do with me.

It's usually very easy to get numbers. My number close rate is around 95% but it doesn't really count for much just like a number close during night game doesn't really count for much. Anyways that's how I'd do it.

Lots of PUA's run game like that.

Modern PUA is largely about inner game and not using gimmicks and tricks and prepared lines and stuff,. and relying on your sub-communications and core confidence and the idea that in simply being direct you are already building attraction etc. The whole 'wat you say doesn't matter' which you will even often read from Mods here.

I'm not saying that that's how I do it personally, but there's more styles than maybe you're aware of

And thanks for your description of how you would do it - It is exactly as I thought it'd be. (''you're trouble'', Cold reads, DHV stories etc) Not that there's anything wrong with that. But lots of people feel that all that stuff is basically irrelevant

What pua runs game like that? I assure you that they aren't very good at all if that's how they do it. Every pua uses techniques, in fact every person uses techniques. Techniques are a way of carrying out a particular task. Even the RSD guys are using the same techniques over and over but they just aren't pointing them out and teaching them because it's just not profitable.

You probably arn't able to recognize the game they are actually using right under your nose. Sneaky mother fuckers I'm telling you. They are switching up their techniques so much that it looks like there is no real pattern and if you know enough to see it then you wouldn't be buying their shit anyways. I actually respect how genius they are at marketing but I have nothing to gain from telling you that you are being played son.

Those guys know how hard it is to implement new techniques until it becomes a natural part of your game because they went threw it. They used what they know to convince people like you that there is a difference between natural game and using techniques. You're being duped bro.

You can't be above techniques because techniques are essentially the only thing there is. Inner game will do absolutely nothing if you dont talk to a girl. If you talk to a girl you are automatically using techniques.

People want to believe they are seperate from techniques and what they are doing is somehow more natural and authentic but it's really just an illusion. Pua techniques are simply a reflection of what works naturally. You learn the techniques so they become habit and you seem naturally better.

Anything you do is a technique when it comes to game. It doesn't matter if you do it naturally or you plan to do it. To say techniques are irrelevant is to say game itself is irrelevant because they are one in the same thing.

When you are just winging it you are just using sloppy technique. If you were in a fight then they would just say you have bad technique. I wing it too, only I'm using a lot of good techniques that have become habit and therfore my results will be consistently far superior then yours.

Since you arn't using barely any technique then you simply can't be good. You probably arn't doing as good as most of my handsome friends who don't practice pua at all. You just really can't be, it's just not possible. It would be like being great at basketball without knowing barely any techniques. Im not saying this to be a jerk I'm just trying to make you aware that you have been tricked into thinking these techniques are bad for you when it's the exact opposite.

Without learning new techniques you will be stuck at the exact same level. You can slowly pickup on techniques threw more experience and slowly start implementing them but you are looking at a life long slow crawl just to end up a little past the level that most regular guys are already at.

If that's really what you want I understand. Most guys just want to be able to get the normal amount of girls and thats enough for them. But if you want to be on a different level that even the most handsome guys wish they were on, then practicing techniques until they become habits is the only way to get there.

It's hard man, it's a lot easier to just wing it and hope for the best. But the reward for your work will be priceless.

Look man I was in a 9 year relationship and I would have consistent threesomes with a chick that I would literally fuck twice a day. My girl let me fuck whoever I wanted but the problem was I legitimately could not fuck anymore nor did I want to. My girl was a solid 9, half Puerto rican half Colombian baddie.

When I say I had no desire to fuck anymore girls I mean that shit from the bottom of my heart. I pulled a ton of girls just because it was fun and I've always just liked pulling girls for fun but I would pawn them off to my buddies. Makeout and just pass out with them in my bed. I know it sounds far fetched but it's the truth. I mean it would be much easier for me to just lie to you. My lay count is extremely mis leading. I'm not saying you're doing bad bro. I'm sure you're getting laid but most regular guys get laid.

Im just saying there's really another level to this shit where you feel like you have jedi powers or some shit. It's a level I honestly didn't know existed. It's probably not for everyone but I find it to be exhilarating.
