These days, instead of looking for signs that a girl is "inviting me" to talk to them, I just talk to them. If they aren't comfortable being spoken to, it'll be apparent when I'm actually talking to them, and I'll end the interaction.

I'm not going to waste time trying to read her mind and decipher every subtle twitch of her nose like it's a secret code or something.

This seems a bit like training people to regard some ordinary actions as having more meaning than they actually might.

As a girl, I would say girls who like you, or are least flirting-for good or bad intent, make unnecessary physical contact. Not all girls are like that, some are very touch averse or casual. But if you have a girl who keeps touching your shoulder for no real reason, or bumping into you while walking, or says something like, 'wow, your hair is so soft' and just starts petting it, she might be interested. This doesn't apply to close friends or those girls who very obviously don't see personal space boundaries.

A chick at the bar may indeed keep 'looking over at you and smiling'. That would seem to be an invitation.

But being smiled at, or making eye contact in a casual way is not a come on. A girl walking by and looking you in the eyes, even if she smiles, is just looking around and being polite. It's actually unpleasant when you barely make eye contact with someone and they take it as an instant sign to start chatting you up. Nah, dude, I was heading over yonder and you crossed my path. It wasn't a sign.

If a girl you just met is complimenting you a lot, that's at least a flirtatious sign. Complimenting a lot is not, oh hey, nice outfit, goes well with your boots. That's casual. Maybe polite. If it pops up again when the conversation has already moved on, then note it.

Also approaching girls who have a very, 'leave me alone' vibe is bad form. Not every girl in a bar or whatnot is looking male company. Inviting yourself to her table or trying to hold a conversation when she's obviously being curt is lame. Don't do it. A girl could be too polite or non-confrontational to tell you to go away. And her not wanting you around could have nothing to do with you personally. If someone goes out to have a good time alone or with the girls, and they aren't interested, don't assume it's judging you. They just honestly aren't looking for a flirt-tango at that moment.

Also, if you see a couple or more girls at a table, trying to hit on one or pick on one for not responding to your advances by going through one of the other girls is classless. Don't be that guy. Or girl. As the case may be.

A lot of girls will say they like confidence, and that's true. Someone who comes up to you and just can't form a word or something is going to seem a bit. Self deprecation is a big no. 'I just can't believe an ugly guy like me gets to spend time with a beautiful girl like you'... no. Have more value in yourself and her. Confidence isn't arrogance, or swagger. It's being comfortable with yourself and what you're doing. The worst that can happen is she's not interested. It's okay, that happens. Find someone who actually wants you, don't let it hurt you that some random isn't feeling it. Chemistry is a thing.

Consider compliments with more thought. Going up to a girl and saying "you're beautiful, I just had to talk to you" is not giving your A-game. If a guy approaches me like that, I'm pretty done. Not because I'm vain or something, but because whether he believes it or not, all he could think to say was something about my physical appearance. I don't wanna talk to someone whose only interest is thinking I'm pretty. You can get a feel for a personality from afar. Are they laughing and dancing? Grinding on a bunch of dudes? Are they shy and withdrawn? Do paintings on the wall hold their attention? Someone can seem intriguing or not before you approach.

I have some nerdy tattoos. You know one of those tats? Hit me up about that. Come at me with a dorky joke. If you have a comfort zone, utilize it. If you're at an outdoor party and you're an astronomy geek, wow her with your star prowess. [Dont be /iamverysmartthough] Don't be offended if a girl isn't wowed by a compliment. She doesn't necessarily want it in general, and especially if that's your only reason for interest, it's not flattering that some guy wants to sleep with you. If you're gonna give an appearance compliment, be genuine. I try to compliment people just because hey, it's never bad to try to brighten someone's day. 'Hey, your eye color is really cool'. 'I dig your coat'. 'That hair style looks cool'. When you make a compliment personal, and you deliver it casually, that's gonna come off better than something generic and spoken with obvious expectations. Just be chill to be chill, and see what happens.

Again, don't assume a girl not being interested is somehow a bad reflection on you. There's a lot of reasons a girl might turn down a come on that have nothing to do with your appearance or whatnot. There's a myth that if you're hot girls will fall at your feet no matter what you do. This is not true. You don't have to be emotionally invested everytime you try to pick up a girl. You're just gonna make yourself feel bad for no reason. Be cool, be yourself. Respect her vibes. And yes. Yourself. If you have to be fake to get a girl, she's not really the girl for you anyway. Want someone who wants you.

Seriously, if you want to dive into IOI's, read "undercover sex signals" by leil lowndes. It covers all 26 basic ioi's, also tells you a lot of truth about them (that a single ioi doesn't mean anything, but clusters of them do), and yes, women do such stuff unconsciously, so usually they are not aware of it.

I gotta say, not to be a dick, but the guy in the video doesn't have the cadence of a very confident dude that'd be a perfect candidate to make this type of video.

4 of these are entirely dependent on circumstance. The top one would be locking eyes because locking eyes between a man and a woman creates sexual tension.

The 2nd one would be looking back at you. Obviously if a girl did it at least twice and she's obviously looking at you, that's probably a sign you piqued her interest.

There are times when the signals aren't clear, times when there are several(unless she's making it very obvious, it's probably over time that she ups her efforts. And like you said after some time you get a sticker on your forehead that says "pussy") and of course times when there are none. Have you seen a young woman out and about? Where is she looking at? That's right. Her phone. She's scrolling through social media. It's not a particularly interesting activity but that's what girls do nowadays.

That means all of these signs are moot if the girl doesn't even know you exist because her eyes are glued to her instagram feed. Girls will give signs but most of the time you have to approach them with no knowledge or previous information.

And even if you do approach a girl that threw an invite your way. If you're out looking for signs you're probably not big enough of a pimp to capitalize on girls helping you out.
