I started cold approaching consistently a couple months ago. In the beginning I was obviously bad and came off a tad awkward, and wasn't getting much success. Then later as my social skills and confidence approaching improved, I got better results. It was like for every 2-3 approaches I would get a number or an instant date. Though now I feel my approaching and confidence is pretty good but not 100% perfect, and im realizing the past like 2 weeks (done maybe 15 approaches or so in the 2 weeks) I didnt get a single number or date. I just assumed maybe im having some bad luck lately. But then I met this guy, this dude is tall (about 6'5) handsome, dresses good, and his confidence and approach is off the charts, been doing game way longer than me (about 9 years). I see this guy just casually stop girls and have a conversation so easily and looks like he really mastered all there is to know about this. I expected this guy to be getting way more results than me. Though I was still seeing him get rejected left and right. Dude tells me it takes him at least 10 approaches to even get a number and even then lots of times they dont even text back and acted like it was super normal. Whereas look wise I can admit he looks better and definitely has a better conversation flow than me due to practice.

Even in my early awkward stages, it was taking me like 10 approaches to finally get a number (which sometimes truthfully led to nowhere). But expected that with skill the amount of approaches needed would decrease. Though to see someone whos skills are on point, and still require that many approaches seems kinda weird. I feel like when it comes to cold approaching, having such confidence and conversation skills can maybe make you come off a bit fishy, like the girl can automatically sense that you practiced approaching and thats why you can flow so easily in the conversations, whereas if your not "as good" and show some slight nervousness, then girls might think you genuinely find her super interesting and respect you more. Might be also just talking out of my ass though lmao anyone have any thoughts? Is there a such thing as "being too good"?
