I felt uncomfortable with the silence and kept on asking questions to a point that even I felt tired.

EMBRACE silence on dates. It shows you are confident in your own skin and don't need to entertain her. Also, silence and space builds TENSION.

At a point, I felt that my flurry of questions had dampened whatever spark there was. How do you tame the urge to fill silences? What can I do to not find myself in such a situation again?

It's a scarcity, lack of abundance and insecurity thing that creates anxiety so you feel like you'll lose her if there's silence.

Yeah, I really don't mind silence. I actually like just kinda sitting together and just existing. But the girl always starts to get fidgety so I just come up with something and end up asking more questions.

The questions and okay to a point, HOWEVER, once you've built enough rapport with questions you need to pull her. And you need to pull her fast - usually less than an hour. Ask her to go for a walk and hold her hand or to go back to your place. The excitement died because you didn't escalate.

Teasing is one of the best ways to get out of the interview rut.

Women want a guy who like to flirt and play.

Nobody wants to be interviewed.

E.g.

Her: I want to visit Switzerland. It’s on my bucket list.

You: You want to visit Switzerland, to yodel?

Her: laugh, no I like Lake Geneva and I want to see ....

You: Lake Geneva is beautiful and guess what you can yodel there.

Teasing keeps it light and fun. It also shows her that you aren’t afraid to bust her chops.

Every time you feel an uncomfortable silence, count 5 seconds before trying to say anything else. Often she will just say something herself.
