Game has a "barrier of entry" with looks.

A 7/10 guy can have amazing game and steal a girl at a club from a 9/10 guy if his game sucks.

A 4/10 guy will never steal a girl from a 9/10 guy under any circumstances...Unless the 4/10 showed up to the club in a Koenigsegg.

You don't have to be a male fitness model. But you need to be above average looking to pull above average looking women. It's just that simple. No amount of witty game can change that.

The 400 LB, fat, short hair, ugly, porn/drug addicted, shy, bummy looking version of myself has gotten a number of cute girls just by being myself and one looked like a model in my eyes. That version of me says you have self-esteem issues.

I don't spout what you believe to be utter nonsense to people as a pep talk, I do it because I've fucking lived this shit and I hate to see perfectly capable men excuse themselves from what they could have just because of this limiting belief that makes them incapable not knowing that they themselves are makers of themselves.

Yes the current more in shape, sober, long hair, clean looking version of me has way more girls attention, with no effort. Yes it feels like there's no fucking limits right now and my environment is very good at proving that but THIS IS WHO I FUCKING WAS BACK THEN BEFORE ANYONE ON THE OUTSIDE COULD EVER SEE IT, I SAW IT.

Aside from my personal experience. I see unattractive dudes with smoking hot girls all the time, that shit is right in front of our faces but we don't accept it when we're hating ourselves. Saying things like "I'm better looking than that guy, why don't I have a girl". Then saying "I'll never get a girl because I'm ugly".

Comparing yourself to others and caring about what they think is the quickest way to destroy your dreams and it's way easier to do than it is to fight like hell through the misery and pain. A lion raised by monkeys will believe he's a monkey if he's told so enough. That's the crime we commit to against ourselves and others.

Having a downright delusional degree of confidence and faith in yourself mixed with a sense of relentless desire to acquire that thing you call SUCCESS (whatever that is) is a human-beings TICKET.

So LOOKS are nice to have but they are and always will be some surface level bullshit. You guys go and talk to those girls as if you're the embodiment of MASCULINITY, like you're some sort of fucking GOD and I promise you'll do better than you did feeling sorry for yourself. Femininity will not yield to some bitch made, wavering, self loathing energy even if you're attractive those vibes are ugly.

Looks matter for one night stands, personality/confidence matters more for a relationship. Success matters most for a long term relationship, but you still need a combination of all of the above. (If you find a girl where your success doesn't matter count your god damn lucky stars every single day.)

But if you're ugly, you're basically fucked. Or you can just hookup with girls who are much lower in standards.

My take on the "looks don't matter" comments is that it's an attempt to help people get out of their own head and out of their usual excuses. It's an easy fallback for most to blame circumstances that they were born with.

Of course look matter - I completely agree with you. I've had conversations with many "interesting" women but I have had no desire to pursue them sexually because of a lack of attraction. But in saying this, it doesn't mean that if you didn't hit the genetic jackpot you'll be doomed for life. There's plenty of things one can do to improve overall attractive. Hit the gym, pay attention to your skincare routine, take care of your hair etc and you'll be on track to improve your appearance.

The bottom line is a 9/10 (guy or girl) might be attractive to most, but not to all. Attraction is personal and subjective. A 7 to some might be a 9 to others and vice versa.

I agree, looks do play a big part of initial interest. I hate seeing people say it doesn’t matter because it does. But the good thing is we all can do things to improve ourselves to make us physically more appealing.

Look I advocate that "looks don't matter" but I am working under the assumption you maintain your appearance. If you are fat obviously you should lose weight for looks and health. If you have acne get that shit treated. If you have greasy hair wash that shit. Dress well, clean your clothes etc. This shit is common sense...

But very very very few people are truly ugly. If I say looks don't matter that means do what you can. Groom yourself then forget about it. Not literal "looks don't play any role and you don't have to think about your appearance."
