Your issue is you’re thinking chicks think like dudes. Confidence and authenticity are to chicks what big titties and amazes are to guys. When you’re out, look at how many hot chicks are married or are adoring sloppy or ugly dudes. Being pretty as a dude can only get you so far, cause if you’re not the person you’re projecting, they’ll know and lose interest and you’ll be alone for a long time. Get comfortable being in your own skin and don’t be phony and women will be all over you.

Dude NYC has loads of people, most of the models are gay or suck dick secretly for gigs (that’s a real thing). So don’t compare. You’ll get attention.

I was a 7 in a medium sized city, and was probably a 6-7 when I moved to NYC. My game was horrible in the medium sized city, but I cleaned up in NYC.

When I moved there I started DJing at a small trendy bar in an upcoming part of town. I wasn’t the greatest DJ in the world; my beat matching skills were poor, but I had a great selection of records, was really musically knowledgeable and I could read the crowd.

Before long I was getting girl’s numbers left and right. Even other guys there were impressed, most non-sexually, often chatting to me about music, wanting to hang out, buying me drinks. That helped with the ladies as well, as they are often attracted to men that other men admire.

What I learned from this was self confidence (I acted like I ran the place, musically), self worth (I’ve got great taste in music, was fun to be around), and that I demonstrated value to others (I DJed and provided a great party atmosphere to their Saturday nights, and simply was a nice guy to talk to).

Not saying you have to pick up DJing (though it doesn’t hurt), but if you can attain those three traits with some other skill, you’re going to do just fine.

You're to in your head about this. The woman that you were pulling that cared about money and status are gold diggers. You want all the other girls that run on emotions. Girls do not care about money, status, power or any of that, just good emotions so you need to focus on that.

A woman reflects the emotions she senses in you, and you said yourself that you felt like the "big man" on campus but felt "diminished" in NYC. You need to be immune to that and think your a pimp at all times even if it isn't true. Become a high value guy that they want and start learning game if you haven't learned it already.

You get girls by not caring if you can pull girls. The minute you start getting needy it's over. It happened to me this weekend and I didn't even realize I was doing it until later.

Go out and actively game girls. Get used to initiating and leading.
