Just curious, has anyone read Robert Greene’s “The Art of Seduction” and if so what are your thoughts? I’m about 1/4 of the way through and damn this book is long. I think that Greene has a substantial amount of detailed and artful “rules” and nails the different types of seducers. Lots of references to famous archetypes of seduction throughout history (i.e. Don Juan, Marilyn Monroe, etc) and honestly for every type of seducer he writes about I feel like I know a version of one in my life. But while I’m reading it I’m also getting sociopath vibes, like for example, anyone who you are trying to seduce is your “victim”. Some bits feel more like a manipulative approach rather than a seduction. I’m honestly really enjoying the book though and I’m already noticing a difference in my interactions with others, especially the opposite sex. I don’t think that Greene meant for everything in the book to be taken literally, but I’m curious if anyone else felt the sociopath-like undertones after reading?
