Long story short is I was a happy funny easy going guy. I had a girlfriend for 6.5 years until she cheated on me for a few months and then broke up with me. Logically I know she fucked up, it was her issues that caused her to cheat (she had a fear of committing and wanted change) but it doesn’t help me. I just feel down most of the time, tired and bad about myself.

In the past I was never amazing with women in terms of ‘I’m going to get with that girl’, but I was very good and I’ve been with some solid 9’s, my ex included. Heck, I’ve even had two women make a move on me since breaking up but I told them I’m not interested because they aren’t my type.

But now I’ve massively regressed. I’m increasingly nervous around people, both with people I’m attracted to and people I’m not. There are a couple of women in my office I am interested in but I just end up getting nervous and avoiding conversation with them. It’s lame as fuck. Idk if it’s just simply not wanting to get rejected again or making myself look stupid or something else?

Also I’ve started to hate the way I look. I’ve been hitting the gym and my body is getting in shape. Slowly. But I just hate my face. I think my nose is too big, despite being skinny I don’t have a defined jaw. These things never bothered me or stopped me before but now it’s all I can think about. I know it’s because of the breakup. I know not everyone will find me attractive but someone will. But I still feel shit.

So I’m hitting the gym, work is going well, I’ve even joined a public speaking club and I can get up, do a speech but I still feel bad about myself. I just know if in a years’ time I get the body I want, the promotion I want, I become a great public speaker, there’s still something inside of me holding me back from happiness. I just don’t know what it is.

Sorry if it's not the best forum for this but I figured someone here might be able to give some good advice.
