To me "game" is a reminder that the most important thing in life is to have fun and consider things that scare me as a game. It's not important, nothing we do, feel and think is important. We live, we experience a number of sensations, we make up stories about who we are, and we die. That's all there is.

So yeah, game is doing anything that scares you because it's all just a game. We act depending on two impulses : desire and fear. Game is following desires and diffusing fears or going through them.

Ar you going out of your comfort zone ? Are you doing things that scare you ? Are you growing as a human being and going toward a more fulfilling and self-loving life ? Are you putting yourself at stakes ? Then you're gaming, there's no reason for gatekeeping.

Also 'game without intent isn't game' doesn't mean you have to show that intent. You just have to let it flow through you. You take risks, you make mistakes, you learn, you grow. It's true that if you don't have desire (and therefore no fear), it's not game, it's comfort.

I think everyone is actually just banging hard 'yes girls' and some 'maybe girls* . Zero 'no girls'. And she kind of decides what category she's in before you've said a word lol

A million time this! I've been in the game for a while now, and this realisation has smacked me in the face in recent months.

This reminds me of Milton H. Erickson. He would say, “everything is hypnosis. Hypnosis is all around us.”

From the moment you get out of bed, to the moment the sunlight hits your eyes, to the ride over to where you’re going, to sitting down when you arrive, to going back home, to contemplating sleeping.

Even looking at something as simple as the contrast between the background and letters in the words you’re reading ... you see where this is going, don’t you?

You can already anticipate the cliché part where pixels on a screen cause you to realize that you’re suddenly completely in control of and aware of your breathing. That is to say, you are now breathing manually, no longer automatically.

You are now smirking.

You are now thinking, “fuck you! I have better things to do today than breath manually.”

In a sense, all we were doing was “just talking.” You were “just listening” or “just reading,” and I was “just saying” and “just writing.”

So, yes, that’s all that “guiding someone through different emotional states and degrees of awareness” is ... “just” talking and listening.

Is “game” anything more than just guiding someone through emotional stages and degrees of awareness?

They’re both not wrong in what they’re saying.

Game: deliver emotions through language

WHat you are saying doesn't matter, it's the emotion that you choose to use with it that matters

Once you master this, you've got game

If you are feeling great and talk to people, you are gaming them

If you are feeling like shit and talk to people (usually won't because feeling like shit will make you less communicative) you are repulsing them

Look up Beckster's "Saturday Sarging" video on youtube. It's a fantastic lecture but in particular watch the part where he talks about natural method vs routines.

He's an old school Mystery Method guy and has been Mystery's coaching partner for 10 years. But he says after using MM for a while and getting better and better, one day he realized he hadn't used any routines for ages. He was 100% natural. But he missed his routines because they were fun. So he added back some routines so now he says, his pickup is 10% routines and 90% his natural self.

When he says "routines" I don't think he means negging and DHV. More like using opinion openers to open and entertain a large set until he can focus on one girl. Such as, "Ladies! Who's got the best shoes here? ... You know why shoes are important?"

I think it's game when you're saying/doing things that you wouldn't be saying/doing to someone you aren't trying to fuck
