You need to spend time on your own or you’re never going to break out of this cycle of constantly being reliant on another person.

I get it, I was in a relationship for 5 and a half years and I found the easiest way for me to deal with that breakup was to go out and meet other people. I ended up having a 3-4 month fling with a guy who I honestly wasn’t into and in the end, I really hurt his feelings when I said I didn’t want anything serious.

I just enjoyed the companionship of having someone else there because that’s what I was used to. But it wasn’t real, and I became resentful of him as I started to find myself not enjoying someone else in my space.

That’s when I realised I actually really need to be alone and learn to enjoy my own company. I’m now in the type of head space where having a partner would just get in the way of my life.

I have so much more time to focus on my fitness and health, I have time to organise my life and prioritise my work, I’m 10x more social now and see my friends regularly (now on zoom obvs), and I’m also going out and experiencing other men (also before iso), which has been really fun and exciting for me.

I'm allowed to talk to any person I see. When I talk to them, they're allowed to tell me that they don't want to talk.

When I see an attractive woman, it doesn't mean she's mentally or emotionally attractive, so I need to discover more than just her physical attractiveness, which is immediately apparent.

Women exist everywhere, so when I'm looking for women to meet, I look everywhere.

Online dating is what I use at night, just to pass time.

During the day, I just put myself wherever I want or need to be for my own life and then I pay attention. I put myself out there purposefully and I keep myself open to others. I don't need them, but they're alive in a time that I'm alive, so we have the opportunity to share in the life we're both living.

Coffee shops, bars, parks, malls, stores, sidewalks, wherever I see a woman that seems interesting, then I'll talk. Not to pick them up, because that's an idea that exists for some kind of future purpose. I'm interested in the now. I can enjoy this moment and she might also enjoy this moment with me.

That goes for every moment I'm alive and she's alive. Now I have to be fair and say a couple things. I'm not looking for a life partner. I'm just looking for someone to enjoy and to bring value into their life. I'm married, I'm just not monogamous.

I already have a woman that I share finances with, a home with, a car with, and a bed. I have a woman that I want to have children with and that's not all that I am. I am a husband, but that's not all that I am. My worth as a human being, my worth as a man is not dictated by only one aspect. I am not just a husband.

I'm a man. I'm interesting. I'm intelligent. I'm skilled. I'm beautiful. I care. I have a lot of value to share and I don't have such an abundance in life that I can say that all of the outside world has nothing to offer me. So....when I see an interesting woman (person, actually, because I do speak to other men that seem interesting) then I just talk to her. I enjoy my minutes alive.

I enjoy other people's moments, too. I enjoy women wherever they are, whenever they're in my life, for however long they're in my life.

I know that affection and good feelings just happen naturally when you find people that you like. So you don't have to look for relationships. You just look for people to share moments with and those moments are every second y'all are breathing.

Relax, bud. I'm sorry your relationship ended, but they're never about the end. They're always about the individual moments. They're not about the beginning, the finding, the looking. They're not about the end. They're just about the moment you're in.

Life is too short. Worry about the moments you're in and when all this settles down and you can socialize, then worry about that moment when it comes.

If you've come out of a relationship, right now is the time to look after yourself. Self care is the biggest priority. There may be quite a few things that you would have done regularly with your ex, to the point where it became a part of your schedule, it's time to replace those blocks of time by working on yourself.

Maybe reading, playing the guitar, learning how to produce music, giving a little more love to the dogs, working out - whatever works for you to make you better.

After a few months once the pandemic is under control, and restrictions are relaxed, you could think of hanging out in places where you'd feel comfortable being. Go to a book release, a house concert (check if Sofar Sounds has a chapter near/in your town/city), an animal shelter volunteering op - anywhere that you like going to and where the kind of people you'd be interested in, like going to.

Please allow yourself to feel things during this time. The waves of sadness will strike super hard in the beginning, but as you let yourself feel things, you build the mental capacity to weather them the next time. Be open to possibilities, but instead of actively seeking a companion right now, let this time be an opportunity for discovering yourself, by getting better and exploring inwards. (:

I was an alcoholic in my 20s so everytime I got out a relationship I was in the bars (was heavy in the bar scene regardless, even when in relationships) so that made meeting other women usually easy.

That and the I dont give a fuck mentality that came with being dumped and being drunk on top of that, fueled the fire.

Not the healthy or the smart way to go about it at all but for me that's how it went.

One of the most important pieces of advice I have received in my life was one that happened after a break up.

A buddy of mine said "Do everything and anything that makes you happy.. "

Do all the hobbies you love and expand on them if you can. Be with all the friends you love to be around. Hell, try new things you always wanted to try!

There are things and people that were there long before this bump in the road you are dealing with. Those things and those people were a source of love and joy longer than you can remember.

A take moment to appreciate that and you'll be fine.

Focus on the one that reflects your personality the most. Nowadays the go-to channel is online dating.

It looks like most of the advice on here is garbage, how far this sub has sunk and filled up with cucks, I will react from an r/seduction perspective and give you and anyone else actual value.

Don't listen to these other two, if you want back in a relationship go for it. If you sit around waiting for something to happen, you are going to be waiting a long damn time. As long as you are able to bring as much to this new relationship as she is. There are couples out there that should NOT be in relationships and are getting married and having kids together and everyone is praising them even though these couples shouldn't be together. If you 100% believe you are ready for a relationship don't listen to the negativity, miserable people love company.

What do you think about cold approaching women you meet in town.. If you live in the forest go somewhere, you can find women during the day or night. After a period of mourning, that you don't want to be over one or two weeks. The problem with approaches is that it is hard to begin, harder to stay active, hardest to find one (just one) pussy. I have big problem approaching women.
