Should very specific advice even be shared?

I think some people may have their little quirks or things that they've gotten good feedback with prior and so have sort perfected their own little unique technique.

I don't see the harm in sharing/discussing these things, but know that you may not be able to take that exact thing and pull it off. Maybe ask them how they figured out that this mannerism worked for them so you can catch on to what your unique thing might be.

Is what a good idea?

Charismatic people can pull off a lot of things that non charismatic people can’t.

For instance.

You know a charismatic guy that always seems to have a new girl. You go out to a bar with him, just to watch him in action. He walks up to a woman and goes “Hey. How you doin?” The woman gets flustered and they leave together.

You walk up to a woman and go “Hey. How you doin?” She gives you a blank stare.

It’s not the line or “killer mannerism” that is what makes these guys successful. It’s the rest of their game.

Watch the charismatic people. See how they move. How they act. Tone of voice and timing. Try and mimic those and you’ll get more success than using one line.

Thanks! I used to think detail-sharing was the best, but my sort of 'growing objection' with it, is it will only help those who are already self-helped. (ref. what WAP said)

Putting ones own experiences in writing, in great detail, may hold immense value for the writer themselves. I just question value for would-be readers.

Depends on how specific. Generally it's not what you say, but how you say it. Most things that melt people's heart sound kind, sympathetic, and humble. Body language plays a big role too.

So it's not really enough to say the same thing the other guy did to get the same effect. People need to see and hear genuine emotions if you want them to feel a certain way.

never hurts to share. but yes a solid foundation is always more important than specific mannerisms
