I have had the best luck replying to stories, seems more genuine I guess but it's still kinda a longshot. Definitely want them to follow you in my opinion, if they like any of your pictures that's a plus too. At the end of the day these girls are strangers and you have nothing to lose from trying

I've tried lots of times sliding in the DM's of strangers (super hot girls who live in my town who I could feasibly meet if they were interetsed). Tried all kinds of PUA openers from 'instagram guides' etc, and never got a reply.

You basically need to be very very good looking. Good looking enough that it outweighs the fact you're a complete stranger. Add her as a friend. She will add you back and like your photos if she's interested. THEN you can DM her and bang
