The main thing I grapple with is maybe being too respectful? Let me give a hypothetical example. Say I'm at a party and there's this really attractive girl. We're having good conversations, and I'm enjoying it. I can throw in some flirting here and there, but then what? I'm just not into that pushy flirting where you're basically forcing someone to respond, whether they're interested or not. I mean, sure, I know if she's into it, she'll show it, but if not, I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. And it's not just about girls, it's about anyone really, but in this scenario, most of the responses I get are pushy, putting the girl in a yes-or-no spot or something. It's hardly ever smooth sailing, where both people are vibing on the same level, and things just naturally progress without feeling forced. That kind of flow is super rare.

Am I just too nice? And if so, what can I do about it if that's just who I am? The uncertainty kicks in when I'm not sure how to move from one step to the next? It's like, I'm sure there's something I'm missing here.
