How do I put this into words? I regularly get matches and compliments, and now and then, there are girls who show interest by making the first move. However, the conversations often fade without being unmatched, or after two dates, we end up just staying as "friends." I know I look good enough to catch initial interest, but my reserved and nice/respectful demeanor seems to counteract my looks. I'm aware of my lack of confidence and the fact that I seldom engage in flirtatious behavior during dates. The only time I do is when I've had a bit to drink, but I realize that's not a sustainable solution. I'm not the type to pressure others, not on the first date or when meeting new people. Oddly enough, I'm not particularly introverted; quite the opposite. I'm extroverted when I feel comfortable, especially when I'm acting on stage, which I love. Others' perception of me is crucial, and that's why I'm always observant in a room. If I notice someone is uncomfortable, I make an effort to include them. Despite some progress, my last three dates were lackluster, with the most recent one being three months ago. I find myself at a low point again, unsure of what I can work on to overcome the one thing holding me back in my career, dating, and various aspects of my life.
