Be careful about openly talking about sex before actually having sex. In addition, if you're openly talking about sex at the end of a date, experience has taught me that closing that same night is critical. Otherwise she might get buyer's remorse or feel like it absolutely must happen the next time. This means having a better sense of her logistics before and definitely DURING the date ("do you have an early bedtime?", "what are you doing after this?" "do you have roommates?" etc). This is information every man should be figuring out if they actually intend on closing. But the whole thing with her having plans after should have never been a surprise and the fact that it was means you still need to work on how you run dates. You also might've been able to stop by AFTER she hung out with her friends.

Also, just because she agreed to something in the moment the night before, doesn't mean it's guaranteed the day after. And I operate accordingly. After your initial re-opener, I would've simply asked a question: "you still around later." I also say "around" as my way into the topic rather than overtly saying "come over" because I understand how much plausible deniability matters and how much things are really about the moment. First I need to ensure that she's in the same emotional space she was in the night before. Low and behold, when I've carried myself like this, more often than not it works out for me.

Finally, I know you have justifications for the "clean my apartment" line but it isn't flattering to you and sounds childish. I don't care if she joked about it. She's not your mother. You should have a memory of a goldfish when it comes to that kind of comment and acknowledging it isn't building a sexy vibe at all.

You need to ask and confirm if she still wanted to come over, don’t assume and hope.

That does give girls the ick, even when they said they’ll come over. It doesn’t make sense at first but it’s a thing about letting her change her mind but also showing her you do want to see her.

The most important thing is you have to change your MIND FRAME. Get this right, and everything will follow. Its like building a house on a strong foundation instead of just dirt... and it goes like this:

You were and are far toooo busy to be pursuing her. Think about it. You have so much going on, you forgot to follow up. Or it was a very low priority. Let her wonder... "what did i do wrong? Does he have other girls? Why hasnt he contacted me?" Remember... winners are BUSY.

You had a wonderful time with her, and hopefully in the future you can all reconnect again.
