Lots of posts about "threats" to women in the dating market that get pretty quickly swept under the rug pretty quickly. I'm imagining because most of them are similar to speculating how the ATM will eradicate the human bank teller. Hasn't happened yet, likely won't happen any time soon.

So, I'd like to ask women directly here;

  1. What does an "ideal" dating market have in store for you?
  2. How does this "ideal" dating market vary from reality?
  3. Are there any tangible threats to women's options?

When I ask what an "ideal" dating market is, I'm mostly referring to what the dating market would look like if none of the things you hated about dating where an issue. If dating were perfect in your utopia, what would it be like? Both for women and for men (if you can speculate what it would be like for men). I would also like to know how you find that your idealized dating dynamic doesn't exist or could never exist. Also, if there are any actual threats to women's options in dating. What does a threat to women even look like? I don't think anyone on this sub, including me, even knows. As far as I'm aware, women hold the vast majority of control over dating. IMO, I don't think men have any control at all.
