I don't buy this shit for a second and I'm not sorry about it. A few posts here mentioning male loneliness have had this notion tossed around and I don't buy it at all.

Men are literally everywhere. They are fucking everywhere. They're at the local grocery store. They're working there, they're shopping there, they're hanging out there and they're all usually talking amongst themselves. Men are the majority of people at clubs, at bars, and hanging around town. Parties and clubs literally become sausage fests if they don't strictly limit the number of male entrants. They are literally everywhere and 90% of men you come across will, at least, have a brief conversation with you about virtually anything you decide.

I had a fucking 30-minute conversation with some guy that was probably twice my age at a rest stop about how we switched from paper straws to plastic straws, back to paper straws in huge plastic cups, and the hypocrisy of it.

I met so many dudes at parties or in classes in college playing beer pong and had so many campus buddies that I knew and regularly caught up with after a brief ~15-minute conversation.

I still meet a bunch of men just walking around and talking to dudes who are just around. I met a cashier at my local bodega that's attending my alma mater and we connected on LinkedIn. We got a beer the other night and he's easily one of the chillest dudes I've ever met. Even on the internet, there are endless discords, chats, subreddits, etc., that you can just talk enough shit into and meet people through it. Most of these people will be men but it's still people to meet. I've met great friends playing games like Arma 3, COD, Battlefield, or War Thunder.

This whole "men socialize less" is bullshit. Men socialize plenty and there's a bunch of men that are totally willing to be friends with you or at least talk to you in the moment.

Men who claim that men socialize less or have fewer opportunities to socialize are probably referring to fewer opportunities to socialize with attractive women

This is fine because dating apps suck and predominately female spaces are much more exclusive and very hostile to male interlopers. So, ways to organically meet women outside of college or work are in very short supply, and cold approaches at places like grocery stories or your local coffee shop hardly ever work. But, seeking out places to organically meet women and seeking out places to just meet new people and mingle are two completely different actions. I agree that it's harder to organically meet women and men who are single more than ever but that shouldn't translate to male loneliness. There's plenty of social shit to do, it just won't involve many women.

If that discourages you then you aren't really that lonely, are you?

Women actively avoid predominately male spaces because of men who patronize those spaces for the sole purpose of meeting women or how hostile some predominately male spaces can be towards women. Gaming is one space that immediately comes to mind and women will just give up using voice chat because of how dudes act when they hear a woman talking on VOIP. Maybe if dudes stop scaring the fucking hoes away, we'd have more opportunities to organically meet women.

The depth of male-male interactions is obviously up for debate. A lot of men are obviously not really in touch with their own emotions and this dives into a lot more theory that I'm not qualified to get into tbh. I personally think that the depth of women's interactions and friendships is vastly overstated but that's also something I'm not qualified to speak on and it's also not really the point of this post. My point still stands. Men don't socialize less. If anything, men have an overwhelming abundance of social spaces to join. Probably a lot more spaces than women feel comfortable joining.

If you don't care to take advantage of that then you aren't actually lonely. You just want to feel bad for yourself.
