So I am in law school and a classmate of mine texted me randomly after class one day complimenting me on my answers to the professors questions during class. I think she is pretty cute but I already hit on another class mate earlier this year who had a BF and don’t want to be known as the guy who hits on every girl in class.

Anyway, she then proceeds to suggest that we study together and I ask her where she wants to meet, I suggest the library or Starbucks on campus. She texts back and suggests her place on campus could also be a good place but tells me to choose. So at this point I go from thinking that she is low key hitting on me to that she is obviously hitting on me and tell her that her place would be chill.

She doesn’t text me back for like a day after that. Then when she does text back she says she is sorry for taking a while to text back but doesn’t like texting unless it’s over Snapchat or IG. I don’t really use either so I kind of ignore that. I try to keep texting to a minimum anyway before I go on some dates with a girl first. She also mentions in the same long message that she has a partner, kind of like she wanted to play it off as just mentioning it but it was kind of obvious why she mentioned it.

Am I crazy for thinking that it’s weird a girl with a “partner” texted me randomly after class near the end of the semester and suggests studying at her place as the first time we hang out? Like, isn’t that odd even if she wasn’t hitting on me?

She took like a day to respond to my message telling her I didn’t want to study together (said I was too busy after all). She repeated that she doesn’t like to text unless it’s over Snapchat or IG and I just didn’t text her back.

I was just kind of curious on other people’s thoughts about this kind of odd interaction.
