This post title has a lot to do with my post about men are demonize for certain behaviors, but society encourage men to have those behaviors.

We all already know how even women and feminists themselves can encourage men to uphold gender roles through the disguise of "positive masculinity".
This post is going to focus on two things here. Number one the way society encourage men to uphold certain gender roles. And number 2 the way those gender roles can be misinterpret by men. To give you a example for number 2. It's like a President always telling his voters to fight the enemy for their freedom in a vague speech. But the voters misinterpreted the President messages, and violently attack people in real life. And then the President has a surprise Pikachu face, despite technically encouraging his voters.
Society encourage men with positive masculinity. Positive masculinity is nothing new, since it's just a form of traditional masculinity. It's actually boy scout masculinity. This video explains it well (https://youtu.be/Fu-d2NtR-aw?si=NqoRdu54hU3Cf7f6). Positive masculinity is also hegemonic masculinity. Hegemonic masculinity is the dominant and culturally accepted form of masculinity within a given society, representing the idealized standards and behaviors associated with manhood. It encompasses traits such as physical strength, emotional stoicism, aggression, and the exertion of power and control. It reinforces gender hierarchies and can contribute to the marginalization of alternative forms of masculinity and the perpetuation of gender inequalities.
There are 3 forms of masculinity here. Traditional masculinity, positive masculinity, and toxic masculinity. With traditional masculinity being the bridge between positive and toxic masculinity. The way I see it all three forms of masculinity are the unholy trinity lol. Again you have positive masculinity that is just traditional masculine trough a progressive lens. And toxic masculinity which is a mutated/cancerous version of traditional masculinity. So when you have spaces like the red pill and manosphere. You are bound to have men that misinterpret traditional masculinity.
For example, protecting women can be view as positive masculinity. What if a man misinterpret this. I think he has to be overprotective of women, or possessive of women. This is where the paradox between the encouragement and demonization comes in. On one hand men are told they must protect women because it's positive masculinity. While on the other hand men are getting demonize, for being too controlling and taking away women agency, despite society putting the idea to protect women in their head in the first place.
Another example could be about romantic movies. In real women complain about men being creepy, and hate talking to random male strangers in public because it's annoying. But in the same romantic movies, a lot of women seem to like. The male characters are portrayed as having positive masculinity when ever they try to pursue women, approach women, because it shows how much they love the woman in the movie. A man can easily misinterpret this male expectation of being the one to always chase women.
In conclusion.
I make this post because it's common to hear femninsits or people on the left say how this sub or even popular YT channels like Aba and Preach are pipelines to the manosphere views or the red pill views.
But it's actually the other way around though. Positive masculinity is the pipeline to toxic masculinity. Since both forms of masculinity are based on the same blueprint, which is traditional masculinity. A lot of people on the left will disagree with that.
