As an older millennial I consider social media the cause of most social issues and I've never have leveraged it for dating because I have plenty of social exposure to people my age with similar beliefs.

This same social exposure makes me understand that my stance is not viable for the younger crowd.

The same way that muscle cars were a man's status symbol in the 60s, today's status symbol is your i.g.

Nobody asked for it to be like that, but tech giants know psychology. Women want what other women want and do what other women do, they are easily socially influenced, they are on the same page that IG is now the status symbol.

Most women have some kind of side hustle or something they are promoting online...why a big following is important is because your entire following is a marketing opportunity for the girl, which is why they often filter dudes based on their following. The absolute best thing you can do is post pictures and stories involving you having fun with different women. The more preselection the girl perceives online, the less she tests you in person.
