I'm early 30s in London and pretty much exact same experience, down to having more success abroad. I guess in London, where I am based, the competition is fierce considering there is probably a bevvy of super succesful men here, but it is incredibly frustrating. In person it's a lot better but the girls generally aren't very attractive. I find too many English girls are very masculine or loud and obnoxious. For reference, I am not a native Brit, so many that also plays into the lack of success but at the same time Austen Summers (dating coach), once said London and England is awful for game. I think we are just the America of Europe and dating is terrible here.

Here's my theory, but keep in mind I may be wrong on some things as it's just a theory based on multiple anecdotal experiences I've read about and situations from real life that me or my friends have related to. I've lived in different cities in England and the experiences I had as well as what I saw other people have are similiar.

I don't know if you're an immigrant or have a non-English name, but generally, if you are, then you're already a turn off for most English girls. I have a similiar stat as you and my buddy does too even though he's objectively more attractive than me. We both have had our fair share of success in Europe, but not here as we are immigrants. In cold approach encounters it's also similiar that as soon as I open my mouth and my accent comes out it feels as if the girl wants to end the conversation pretty quick.
Another idea I have is that there are more attractive British men than women here on average. So the girls here have an abundance of attractive guys they can mingle with in their own social groups, on Tinder, etc, so unless you're in the top percentile of attractiveness and are English or from the anglo-sax bubble (US, Australia, Canada, etc) you're already at a disadvantage.

I have some other theories, but they mostly relate to why cold approach is so hard here, people generally avoid eye contact at all times and that UK girls generally favor an "introduction" (warm social circle) than ever go out on a date with a guy whom she met on the street.

Na it’s just tinder that’s the problem, try hinge it’s much better. Tinder has worked well for me abroad but not in the uk anymore.

Never had an issue with it. Slept with 80% of the girls I met on the 1st or 2nd date.

For me it feels like I can meet 1 in 10 if I really try.

It's basically western Europe vs the rest! A lot of of f'd up options. These days I prefer to have a couple of matches and at least they'll match!
