You assume that men have asked for a men's only dorm, and been denied? I would get upset if men asked and were turned down when women asked and were accommodated. The university just wants to make money. If enough men come forward to fill a dorm, I suspect they would do it.

When at university, I asked for a "quiet floor" and got it.

challenge it. it is there likely simply because no one's challenged it. that's sorta how this stuff works.

be clear tho as to what you're wanting to challenge. if you think there ought be male only spaces too, you're challenging the notion of not being provided equal segregated spaces. which i think is mostly a bad sort of position.

if you're challenging it on the grounds that there ought not be such segregated spaces, then make that clear too. which i think is the proper position.

segregated spaces just perpetuates the problems.

call me crazy but I don't think most men are for a men-only dorm. There may be some and that can be accommodated but it's not a large majority, unlike women. And before any accusations are thrown my way, I do support male-only spaces.

Let’s be honest now. What exactly does a woman’s only dorm or man’s only dorm even mean nowadays? All it takes is one dude who says he’s a chick and the dorm is no longer. It’s such a stupid label nowadays because it means nothing. There are no female only spaces and there are no male only spaces and there probably never will be again.

This is such a non issue that doesn’t affect literally any of us. So who cares. You guys really need to relax about some of these things
