So my partner has been separated from her husband for 3 years now. They don't live together nor talk. My partner has sent the divorce papers to be signed to start the process through .gov but he hasn't responded or acknowledged recipient the papers. We are considering getting the papers served to him now but have no confidence he will agree to signing anything. A seperate note is that she has bought a house and wants to obviously protect her assets to prevent him trying to gain access to the assets at a later date but again she feels he won't sight or agree to a financial order. So my long winded question is what is the best route for her to take to get things moving in rhe right direction and is there any legal route to force his hand without all the legal costs being incurred by my partner ?? Any help would be really greatly appreciated •
