So, trying to figure out my play here and I haven't seen this situation asked/addressed yet.

My STBX and I share a lease that ends in a matter of days. All our shared furniture is in that unit; I moved into my own temporarily-furnished apartment in April. The new unit's owner will pick up their furniture once I know what I will take, versus STBX.

Here's the pickle though... she wants to keep literally everything in the unit. Because the lease ends before any court activity (including mediation), she and I have do figure this out on our own.

I'm not necessarily opposed to giving her mostly everything, but it hinges on this question: is it true there is little/no way to "true up" the financial agreement based on one party keeping significantly more household items / furniture?

My attorney suggested that it's not possible to estimate a dollar value then subtract that from the marital asset payout.
