Most of TMOFR language (temporary motion for financial restraint) is not enforceable as the assets belong to you (and wife). Heck, the best advice I have given men is to simply not disclose any assets the wife is not aware of and let her contest and prove it. Surprisingly less than 1 in 100 cases go the forced disclosure route

I "knew a guy" who's ex was from small town up by Denver. Her family was from there & she left him because he walked away from his family & wouldn't be receiving the inheritance. Everyone knew she used him to get the money & when he walked away from it she got pregnant & left him after 7 years. She took him straight to court & hasnt talked to him since. She lives in a big house, drives a new car & has full custody of their child. Meanwhile hes homeless, has no car & the last I heard he lost his job & they doubled his child support. He supported her for 10 years while she had minimum wage jobs & took care of the house. She told the courts all kinds of stuff that wasn't true for 2 years until it was all decided that it was "speculation." Nothing is ever done to anyone for lieing in family court. Especially in Colorado & especially if your the woman. You can get away anything short of murder. Now, if your a man, you're automatically screwed. Just sign your check over, pull down your pants & assume the position for the next 18 years. Cause you're getting railed buddy.

My stbx and her new boyfriend told my kids that I tried to kill her 3 years ago. Few months later she started calling cops and filed a restraining order. I proved it a premeditated lie with her own text messages from 3 years ago and more recent without a doubt. Court clerk told her to withdraw. She refused. She is a well known compulsive liar and manipulator and cheater. The court knows. Her family knows and goes through me to see the kids. It's really bad and the lies are eggregious. Nobody cares. As long as kids are happy nobody says nothing. She has never gotten in trouble. I suspect at trial the judge will give her a stern warning and throw out the restraining order eventually. To answer your question: Physical abuse gets you in trouble Mental abuse to a degree Real neglect and endangering a child Other than that pretty much nothing.
I had 3x Unfounded CPS reports and crickets to her. 2x Unfounded police interractions and nothing. 3x Sherriffs serving me restraining order that has been proved a lie and nothing. Her boyfrind alienating me repeatedly and nothing happen because he was unsuccessful (I won more time as the kids hate him). Apparantly for alienation to be actionable it must be successful. This is the most convoluted system ever designed to fuck you out of your money by using one of two irrational people in a marriage. It's all a farce.

Nothing don't expect family court to right any wrongs, get in and get out as fast as possible fight for your kids and leave with the money lost

I have two motions for contempt against her for interstate travel with our child and for modifying extracurriculars without my approval. 6mo and not even a hearing scheduled on them. I wouldn't be surprised if they just dismissed them.

I fed them incomplete financial information and nothing has come from it. They even assigned my child support using the information that was several years old.

The flip side is also true - they didn't seem to care about my objections that the information was too old and I don't have a source of income in the area that is of that amount, and that I have never made that amount whilst working in the state. They also didn't care (so far, I gave written objections) that they were allowing my child's mother to cause reimbursement fraud on the government since a portion of her childcare is clearly paid for by the government agency she works for, yet they charged me the full amount and more to reimburse her. I made a complaint with the OIG - we'll see if they do something about it. In my experience, knowingly falsifying expense reports will get most people fired. Since I am reimbursing her for the cost of daycare, she never incurred the costs she claimed to the government.

Now, what will actually get you into trouble - valid TPO/TROs. I filed two on her and her boyfriend, the hearing officer dismissed them, citing stalking me wasn't domestic abuse.

Short of actual criminal activity it feels like a myth to me. Most I ever got was they asked her to stop posting nasty stuff in Facebook where any mutual contacts could see it. She then agree with me she'd remove any family members of mine and people that were more my friends. Oddly enough one aunt/uncle still seems to be in mine but never post other than maybe a few hiking pics

Dirty stuff like false accusations, taking kids to shelter to get me to move out (with no explanation why to lawyers), psychologist notes showing some alienation on her end. Zero consequences or even talks of them. Would send me nasty messages and was supposed to use our family wizard which she refuses then offers another, then that one doesn't work on her phone. Lawyer basically just asked if I could manage.
