There's a worrying trend for feminists to link criticism of feminism to supposed terrorism. In the US, Homelland Security funds soft censorship of feminist critics & something similar seems to be starting in Australia. (Both these topics have been the subject of earlier posts here.)

The latest push is a feminist report entitled "Misogyny, Racism and Violent Extremism in Australia". It has received significant media coverage eg: Hatred of feminism linked to violence, report finds You can dinf the report here. It concludes:

Were Australian authorities to recognise anti-feminist beliefs as a form of violent extremism, it would represent the most prevalent form of violent extremism in Australia and ought to be seen as a significant threat to national security.

This is starting to sound more like totalitarianism than liberal democracy.

EDIT: On closer analysis, their case revolves around one "Do you agree" statement:

Q42. Feminism is damaging to our society and should resisted by force if necessary

(Yes they did miss out a word - "should be resisted".)

Comparable statements on other topics are clear enough - "Violence is justified...", "it is ok to use violence...". But this one is quite different. The statement presumes that it is necessary to resist feminism by force. It asks whether, given that violence is necessary, then you would agree.

I suspect many respondents are just agreeing with the first part if the question "Feminism is damaging to our society ..."
