It’s been very difficult for me in the past 2 years. My wife filed divorce in November 2022. That year was the year my father passed away. I been through a serious depression. I thought about deleting myself in the first couple months after she filed divorce, but I didn’t. It took me almost 2 years to recover. Depression is no joke. It’s killing people.

I been to the court 3 times and had 3 trials. First 2 trials the court granted her 10/14 days(10 days in 2 weeks). In the third trial, I still didn’t hire a lawyer. Because I want to save money for my daughter. I tried to talk to my wife to settle the case. So we both could save money for our daughter. But she doesn’t let go of parenting time. She wants more time with our daughter.

Here’s the craziest part, after the 3rd trial, I thought the parenting would be about the same. But when I look at the letter from the court. I found out I got 10/14 days in 2 weeks. I didn’t even have a lawyer with me. The court grant me more parenting time than I thought.

Here’s the change after 2 years, She got fire and she’s working 2 part time jobs. I have a job and my work schedule is very flexible. I can work any days and any time. No pressure no nothing, I can off the clock anytime.

The judge ask me my work schedule, I told her that I can work anytime and have day off anytime. That’s it.

The worst part is I still have to pay her child support even I have more parenting time. Man I have no idea why, but I think the trial is wild and unpredictable.

My ideal scenario is we both have half parenting time. I don’t have to pay child support. So I don’t have to split her asset. She has around 400k in all asset. I only have 2k in the bank. Yep I can’t save any money after rent, tax, and child support. I barely can survive. It’s a shame that my mom is supporting me food.

My question is: what would you do if you were me? How to get out of this messy? Can I entitle to half of her asset without a lawyer In MA? Our marriage is almost 4 years long. Please give me some advice!
