Just had something interesting happen with a girl I recently went on a first date with. Everything was going pretty standard until I set the time/place for the second date. With the date set, I didn’t text her back during the two days leading up to the date. She flaked the morning of with no explanation, then texted me three days later and told me she doesn’t think we could work out, “because if she is going to be seeing someone romantically, she would need them to be more present” and “likes communicating more than we do.”

Im generally a big subscriber to “less is more” when it comes to texting, but it appears to have blown up in my face here. I get the impression that I could be dodging a bullet. Her message was giving me the vibe she might be overly needy/insecure. I get that some girls like texting, but am I wrong to think that her text-pectations (haha see what I did there) after one date were a little bit of a red flag? She was cute, and despite thinking that maybe I could “communicate” my way into seeing her again, I’m thinking it might be better to just let this one go.

Anyways, this experience is posted to provide evidence for that sub that, even when you think you might have it dialed, sometimes you’ll still won’t see the curveball coming. It’s also a space to remind the newbies that there isn’t ever a “one size fits all” or “magic formula.” Seducing women can be a fickle, complicated task, and it’s rare that anyone ever stops learning things through the process.

Alas, how would some of the more experienced seducers perceive this situation? What more can I learn from this? Should I try and re-engage, or is the red flag so glaring it’s best to just drop it.
