I have never heard anyone use the phrase “boys will be boys” except on TV, people complaining about people saying it, and people joking about it. I still remember the stupid fucking commercial where they had the line of “dads” repeating it over and over. I remember thinking how fucking stupid that commercial was.

And now all these “feminists” have this fucking agenda of, “Let’s do all the things we say men do, that are bad. That’ll show ‘em.” It’s like the morons who say we should have white slavery since black people were enslaved. Most of the shit I see “feminists” complain about is shit from the fucking 50’s. It’s a fucking caricature.

I'm glad she's doing some introspection, but damn... I've never even considered excusing bad behavior by males by saying "boys will be boys".

"Boys will be boys" should be used for things like playing tackle football in the mud, full sending it on a dirt bike over a sand dune or campfire, having a blast gaming with your bros, etc.

It should NOT be used for malicious stuff like playing the knockout game, road raging at a slow driver, sexual assault, etc.

"Boys will be boys" isn't a thing. People never justified bad make behaviour by saying that. Feminists co opted that word and perverted its original meaning. "Boys will be boys" is just a gendered version of kids will be kids. This is because boys are very hyperactive and have crazy energy and engage in rough play etc. People have never justified boys raping or hitting women. Male rapists we're killed and men that hit their wives were flogged. On the other hand it was very possible for a woman to get a lighter sentence for killing her husband than the other way round.

I have seen this. About a year ago, I did some YT music reactions of singer Olivia Rodrigo. Things went off the rail when I noticed her songs were hating on men, and self-pity. Then I did videos on that. Surprisingly, she's gotten a lot of criticism for it. And she responded with “I’m just a teenage girl”. I looked for signs she was being sarcastic. But nope; she was saying girls are just like that.

yet saying "im just a girl" is a way womyn degrade themselves and imply that doing something dumb is a female trait.

and "boys will be boys" is a way to excuse men's inappropriate behavior. because men are expected to be aggressive and troublemakers.

remember, the same thing that your fighting against is the same thing that feminists are fighting against. I am a feminist. I think saying "I'm just a girl" is extremely degrading and an immature way of acknowledging your mistakes. and "boys will be boys" is just as sexist. we're fighting against the same thing, boys.
