Can approach like crazy at salsa but not on my campus

If it makes you feel better, I have the same problem. Struggling to get into daygame. However, the salsa skills transferred into making me more fearless at social gatherings (bars,clubs etc), so maybe you could take that step next. I think cold approach is kinfa like the final frontier, at least for me. I heard of people with the opposite problem.

I can cold approach mostly anywhere but the club game /dance floor is where I struggle right now cause I can't really dance.

I tend to stick on the outskirts where women aren't really dancing and more talking but most of the beautiful women are on the dance floor.

I see guys on the dance floor and they will put their hand out and try to dance. I haven't done that yet. It doesn't feel natural to me if I decide to try it. But I know the only way for me is to try it and try it a ton.

Approaching at grocery stores and malls was a big task for me before I started this whole journey. I've done it so much that it's natural to me to just do at this point.

Example, take a 10 and put her in a grocery store, mall, bar at club, I can approach her easily. Take that same girl, and if you asked me to just go up to her and stick my hand out just for a dance, I probably wouldn't do it lmao. It's cause I haven't done it enough.

I'll be working on this part of my game these following weeks. Something so simple as going up to a chick on dance floor and putting your hand out lol. I'd rather approach a group of chicks hanging in the corner lol.

You are already doing a social activity. Start talking to your salsa ladies more. Think about it this way, you need a base of operations to practice salsa, you took up salsa. Convert salsa into conversation at the beginning, during breaks, and at the end. Bring open-ended questions that you can ask and address the few that are around at the moment. You could even start with a you have to show me how to do that sometime, near the end of the session, what are we doing after? You can be vague about plans in general and eventually someone will take you up on it.

Bring your salsa confidence to talk to people on campus and take steps like opening 5-10 people a week including girls, dudes, workers, professors, teaching assistants, and the random parent

Edit: Don't be offended, but you can wear shoes, kind that make you tall, and dress up to make you look and feel taller

Make a hinge profile with really professional pictures of you dancing and mountain stuff because you do hike compared to the profiles who say they do and don't go outside. Hit up Instagram of random people at your college while posting fun pics of you doing stuff, recommend curating by removing pics that make you look very short from certain angles

Tldr use salsa to become suavamente in other areas, try online to cast a wide net

If you approach a lot of women at salsa classes, you dont need to approach in college; dance classes are flooding with women, lots of them above average. Having a good social life in dance will also help you a lot when using apps.

Salsa (and social dancing in general) doesn’t count for much, girls will say yes because they want to dance not because they think anything of you. Ime they only say no if you’ve shown them your dance skills are well below their expectations.

The real goal/challenge is to create a vibe while you dance. I’ve seen it in action, where a (very skilled) dancer ropes in a girl and hogs her the whole night, teacher her new moves, pulling impressive ones. It’s clear they are flirting, and she is into it. Personally, I don’t have the skill yet to keep a girl entertained like that yet. Alternatively, create the deeper connection by talking after the dance/class finished.

You don’t feel the same approach confidence on campus because you know subconsciously it’s not as accepted to approach in that situation, as compared to approaching at salsa where it’s 100% normal and expected.

Because asking someone to dance at a social dancing event isn't "approaching" the same way daygame is. People dance with people of all levels of attractiveness and age, I've danced with 60 year old women and a couple of trans women none of whom I'd date, its just dancing.

Social dancing events can be a good way to ease yourself into approaching though. If you see a girl you havent met before at a social talk to her rather than asking her to dance. Say something like "are you new to Salsa, I havent seen you here before", then try to carry the conversation. People are very friendly at socials so shes likely to respond well and you have an easy escape as if the conversation falls flat you can ask her to dance.
