I think that a big thing that a lot of people seem to be missing is that 99% of LOUIE is a self-commentary by Louis C.K. He is not trying to make all of the fit people out there who aren't attracted to fat girls feel bad for it. What the conversation is about is about guys who ARE ALSO FAT not being even willing to entertain the idea of being with a fat girl to the point that they won't even flirt with them. It's about making your mirror image feel inferior to you so that you can hold yourself up to some level in the dating world that is not completely realistic. Everyone who is upset over the part of the scene where she is expressing how much it sucks to be a fat girl completely missed the point of the second half of the scene. Why shouldn't a fat guy like Louie, who is doing nothing to improve his physical condition , take a chance at getting to know this chick who he obviously likes talking to? Because, like a lot of other people, he is scared of being seen as a guy that can't do any better for himself. The point is that people miss out on a lot of good people in life because they just are scared of perception.

Ok, she was kind of whiny, going "You men are mean for not liking me as I am, why aren't things easier for me?".

But he said to her "You're not fat". I know he's just trying to spare her feelings, but how is it different from a girl going "You're a nice guy and such a catch (just not for me)"? It's confusing and just keeps them deluded. Maybe if he told her her fatness is just not attractive enough for a lot of men to invest in, she'd get it (after getting over her anger).

She can see being fat makes things harder, but does she know why? The way she talks, she seems to think preferences are an act of will, a result of attitude perhaps. If she knew it's involuntary and normal, would she still complain?

Also, it seems people with low SMV often don't even like each other.

There was a great episode of Seinfeld wherein George Costanza rejects a woman because she is losing her hair. Elaine calls him out for being a complete hypocrite because he is naturally bald and sporting a toupe.

The fact is that men and women are not equal. Women are judged more on their looks and men are judged more on their status and money. Sexual strategy is amoral.

In the Louis C.K. clip she admits "it sucks to be a fat girl, it REALLY sucks" then turns around and blames him for why it sucks. Guess what! No one owes you. Men don't owe women attention, flirtation, or desire. People are adverse to change until the pain of remaining the same is greater than the pain of change. For this woman, it's less painful for her to stay fat and to bitch about it than to actually improve herself so she can receive the male flattery she craves. She doesn't take responsibility for herself but lashes out with criticism for all men. Hamster gonna ham....

I think there is quite a lot to this scene, and it's quite insightful in many ways. I think it actually makes more of a criticism of Blue Pill than the other way around.

She got upset specifically because he refused to admit that she was fat. In a way it's the opposite of the fat acceptance movement. It's actually his fear of offending that offended her. He was trying to be nice and not even admit that she's fat, which is quite weak and Blue Pill.
She made a very good point about the confident good looking guys and how they interact with her. Nobody mentioned that here yet. The confident guys flirt back and enjoy the interaction. There is no questioning where it's going. They both know their place and can interact just for the fun of it. They won't lose confidence because they are talking to a fat girl. If you're afraid about your image, you're not solid with yourself yet.
She was portrayed as a funny, witty and cool girl. Basically given every good quality but made fat. That was the point of the character. To not give her the time of day because she's fat actually says more about Louie's lack of confidence. And this was what was actually being shown here. If you believe in yourself, giving a little love to this girl who's fun to hang out with would be totally congruent. You have nothing to lose. Just enjoy the afternoon. Be outcome independent here.

IMO, this scene actually shows Louie, as usual very Blue Pill. Toward the end, he's actually being more honest and open, and confident enough to not be scared to be seen with a fat girl.

To see this scene, and just say Fat Girls Suck is missing the point and shows lack of confidence in yourself. Why should I care if fat girls exist? Why should I perpetuate negativity in myself?

Seems everyone missed the big picture. She is pointing out, to an overweight man himself, the double standard. She is not speaking to some ripped muscle guy who knows no one would ever believe he was dating her.

It's actually pointing out the weakness that they are not able to see that they (out of shape men) are the same yet, won't date someone who is just like them. When it comes to the word fat, I take it as a completely different definition than most people do. I don't give a fuck what you do with your body. I really don't. As long as you don't encroach on my space or make my life harder in any way, go on and do your thing. Now I am what is considered overweight. I am 5'10 230. And I work hard. I don't necessarily want to lose any weight on the account that I play rugby and I like having the weight and strength. By most peoples standard, I am overweight, even obese I think. To me, the word fat means not just someone that is overweight, but someone who is lazy, a slob, and feel entitled while still being an overweight mess. Someone who is going to eat that piece of pizza even after it's fallen in dog shit or someone is too lazy to throw out their garbage because it's to heavy to take to the curb, so they just let it pile up. To me, being "fat" is a mindset. They are just useless wastes of life and space. So in conclusion, no I would never date a "fat" girl.

I get Louis' point here, it's alright, I don't mind it, it touches on some good stuff. The woman's only real argument though is why Louis won't date her, an equally fat, unattractive person. When she starts whining about how she hates that guys won't flirt with her, wont woo her, all my care just goes out the window. You can complain about some fat slob thinking he's better than your similar fat slob ass. But don't be angry at the majority of men who don't want to date your fat ass. Saw this last night, the thing that stood out to me the most is the extremely long single take this was done in, impressive.

Louie has showed a few blue pill and feminist like tendencies in some of his more recent work, I've kind of lost a bit of respect for him because of that, I tend to prefer Bill Burrs standup these days. I still really like Louie though.

I guess Louie might be somewhat out of her league due to the bump in the SMV that comes from his fame and job...

But if he was just a regular shlub... This scene would be kind of similar to things I read in the manosphere blogs. How a beta guy approaches a fat girl, thinking she's in his league and he won't be rejected, only to be rejected harder and meaner than usual. The fat girl doesn't want beta males acting so sure around her, because it might force her to accept that she's on their level.

Can't imagine this can't happen with the sexes reversed.
