I think this is why i try to change myself really hard as well, as a opportunity to relabel myself, reinvent myself, try things completely differently simply for the sake of growth of myself and maximize my knowledge and experience in life.

We had a fight the other day, a bad one, and at one point she screamed, “Remember that time when you said you didn’t recognize me anymore? Well, this is who I always have been!!!” Like, she was actually PROUD of being this bitter, vindictive, petty and angry person. It blew my mind. She thought she was being tough and independent or something. So if what she was saying is true, then I never really did know her. She was a stranger the whole time.

It really is strange isn't it? Just keep in mind, the rollercoaster isn't over yet. Give it a couple of years and there's a high likelihood that once the novelty of being single again wears off that your ex will begin to reminisce about the good old times and before long she will be inquiring about how you're doing asking you if you remember when blah blah blah happened.

Humans are weird man. The older i get, the less i understand people. My theory is that most people dont even understand themselves (emotions, desires, insecurities, etc). Their reality is fragile.

Bro was it done amicably? Cos your process took less time even with a kid involved. I filed for mine this month even though she asked for divorce but now after she got served, she wants to contest. Just sucks cos I didn’t want to play dirty but looks like she wants to really play dirty.
