You’ll be done before you know it brother…keep pushing
/r/Divorce_Men14/08/25 07:33 PM
1

Haha that’s wild
/r/Divorce_Men05/08/25 06:47 PM
1

Exactly my point.
/r/Divorce_Men05/08/25 06:46 PM
1

Just don’t want HR messing up and taking all my money for her.

Cs in 50/50 custody is illegal.
/r/Divorce_Men16/06/25 05:14 PM
1

What? They should just close the case. What she mean by duress. No one put a gun on her to sign.
/r/Divorce_Men11/06/25 02:21 PM
1

Will go for it. At this point don’t I don’t have a choice.
/r/Divorce_Men07/06/25 06:57 PM
1

We signed MSA in April. Now it’s June…need to close this case. Everything in the decree is exactly what’s in the MsA so we don’t know why she’s acting that way.
/r/Divorce_Men07/06/25 06:11 PM
8

Preparing motion to enter the divorce by a judge.
/r/Divorce_Men07/06/25 05:41 PM
1

I’ve given her several opportunities to sign and yet she won’t.
/r/Divorce_Men07/06/25 05:40 PM
1

I know but atleast she should acknowledge the fact that she has reviewed it and it conforms to the MSA. That’s all we need.
/r/Divorce_Men07/06/25 05:39 PM
1

We already signed an MSA. Everything else has been drafted just like the MSA. Yet she’s taking her sweet time to sign.
/r/Divorce_Men07/06/25 03:44 PM
2

Was in a similar situation in Texas…make about $260k and she was a SAHM. We signed at mediation…my attorney negotiated a very good deal for me. I was on the hook for CS, alimony was calculated in a depreciating manner, in all will have to pay $6000 for contractual alimony. cS at 1200$ and gave her 38$k in cash.
/r/Divorce_Men01/06/25 03:54 PM
6

Man, looks like she won but don’t worry, time will tell brother…keep pushing and do your thing. It gets better for us with time.
/r/Divorce_Men01/06/25 03:47 PM
4

My brother, more grace to you…remember time heals everything. You’ll be fine, keep pushing and you’ll see the wonders of the Lord in your life. Let her go and move on…trust me it gets better.
/r/Divorce_Men27/05/25 05:17 AM
5

She knows how to get to you bro…just ignore these things and be the best you can. It gets better with time. All will be fine just keep pushing
/r/Divorce_Men20/05/25 03:13 PM
-3

Bro you gotta focus on freedom….the money will come eventually when you’re free….gave ex wife a lot more than she could get in trial but I needed my freedom so that was my focus. Hang tight, those 50-60k you looking for, $30k of it will be taken in legal fees. Final decree draft etc.
/r/Divorce_Men16/05/25 01:09 AM
6

Man in your case I feel like you can work things out…6 months old is tough bro…maybe try a couple things out with her and let’s see how it goes bro…sucks but this!! You gotta try more brother
/r/Divorce_Men13/05/25 03:09 AM
4

Since we agreed in mediation for each of us to carry daycare cost, can I take her back to court for imputed income after divorce has been finalized?
/r/Divorce_Men12/05/25 04:27 PM
1

My brother, you need a turbo now…run run run brother….
/r/Divorce_Men11/05/25 04:34 PM
13

Time to go beast mode. Go for it and don’t look back brother….wasted years trying to work things out and it only gets worse when they get to this stage. You’ll be fine…this too shall pass and you’ll get your joy back.
/r/Divorce_Men08/05/25 09:48 PM
6

My brother…never look back…stick to your decision and move on…trust me it gets better.
/r/Divorce_Men07/05/25 06:14 PM
3

Hang tight brother! Everything will be fine just keep your head up.
/r/Divorce_Men25/04/25 01:34 AM
1

Yup because she was a SAHM for 3years and I make way more than her that’s why.
/r/Divorce_Men23/04/25 05:24 AM
7

It gets better brother….trust me you dodged a bullet….later on down the lane you’ll look back and laugh.
/r/Divorce_Men20/04/25 04:49 PM
2

We will show her the excel sheet. Remember mediation is not a formal discovery so from my understanding I don’t have to present two years of finances or anything. If she wants to lawyer up I’m good with it as it will make it easy for us to close the case.
/r/Divorce_Men18/04/25 03:02 AM
3

Damn 100% custody? That’s a win
/r/Divorce_Men18/04/25 02:55 AM
1

That was a good deal Mehn
/r/Divorce_Men18/04/25 02:53 AM

/r/Divorce_Men17/04/25 07:33 PM
2

Haha nice one brother…hopefully mine goes well
/r/Divorce_Men17/04/25 07:33 PM
1

Will see how that goes
/r/Divorce_Men17/04/25 05:39 PM
2

How long were you married and she signed off at mediation?
/r/Divorce_Men17/04/25 05:38 PM
1

Cos I’m giving her the best offer.
/r/Divorce_Men17/04/25 04:03 PM
1

She’s pro se but I have a lawyer.
/r/Divorce_Men17/04/25 03:47 AM
1

What’s she fighting you on?
/r/Divorce_Men16/04/25 12:08 PM
4

Time to move brother…mine started like that…only got worse afterwards and for me I did myself a solid, I filed for it and I’m dealing with it but I know oneday it will be over.
/r/Divorce_Men15/04/25 08:37 PM
3

We all in this together brother….the only thing is never give up and don’t loose hope. We will be great again…more power to you brother!

7

/r/Divorce_Men15/04/25 06:17 PM
2

For sure brother…Goodluck and hopefully we all get what we want.
/r/Divorce_Men15/04/25 06:16 PM
2

We were only married for 3.5yrs and she wants alimony for 2 years lol
/r/Divorce_Men14/04/25 08:21 PM
2

No Texas laws says the max is $5000 or 20% of gross income.
/r/Divorce_Men14/04/25 07:34 PM
3

Nice I think me and my attorney will do same.
/r/Divorce_Men14/04/25 04:58 PM
4

Awesome…so income input will be 7.5$ in Texas….they’ll deduct that amount from 5000$?
/r/Divorce_Men14/04/25 02:53 PM
2

Thanks brother
/r/Divorce_Men13/04/25 03:44 PM
2

No im not under any order at the moment…we had temporary hearing and judge ordered us to go to mediation.
/r/Divorce_Men13/04/25 04:28 AM
1

And you’re paying alimony?
/r/Divorce_Men12/04/25 10:44 PM
1

Yes sir you already got the formula brother…
/r/Divorce_Men12/04/25 10:02 PM
6

Brother, I feel you but trust me you’ll be fine. Don’t let your mind wander and think of those sex stuffs, it’s only going to ruin you and make you hate her more. Hit the gym, add some muscles and when those happy hormones starts to fill you up you’ll be way better bro. Women will always be women….they always say the higher and faster the monkey climbs the harder it falls. Trust the process, soak it and let it fuel you to be better. Sending more power your way. You got it brother…stay strong and…
/r/Divorce_Men12/04/25 08:42 PM

Which state are you in? How long were yall married?
/r/Divorce_Men12/04/25 07:28 PM

He’s in the kids life, the kid goes to see him during summer and spends time with his dad’s family. He occasionally sends him money for his birthday etc.
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/25 02:23 PM
1

Exactly so I don’t know how they will establish the kid as child of the marriage.
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/25 12:34 PM
5

Yes bro the child was 12 when I came into their life so clearly I’m not the dad.
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/25 12:33 PM
1

How old was the stepson when you came into his mom’s life?
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/25 02:44 AM
3

Child was 12yrs when I married his mom.
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/25 02:43 AM
1

Did she try to make you pay CS?
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/25 02:43 AM

3.5years
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/25 01:49 AM
2

Technically married for 3.5years
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/25 01:37 AM

/r/Divorce_Men09/04/25 08:31 PM

Awesome thanks
/r/Divorce_Men09/04/25 04:09 PM
1

Thanks very much that’s good info
/r/Divorce_Men08/04/25 04:56 AM
2

Our mediator used to be the presiding judge in one of Texas district courts. Hopefully he’s a state guideline guy.
/r/Divorce_Men07/04/25 04:25 PM
1

She’s been ordered
/r/Divorce_Men06/04/25 10:37 PM
7

Let her go brother…mine did the same thing…I accepted it and never looked back.
/r/Divorce_Men06/04/25 01:14 PM
7

Bro move on, don’t be bothered by these things…did everything for my ex and her kid and still she didn’t see me as shit…when I finally mustered that courage to file for divorce, I was mentally and emotionally done. Don’t have any feelings for her. I sometimes even laugh when I look back at some of the things I did let slide. Move on, date again and enjoy life.
/r/Divorce_Men05/04/25 08:16 PM
2

Ex asking for moon and stars and won’t even agree for us to talk. Mediation coming up but I’m not confident a deal would be reached as she’s being coached by her family members.
/r/Divorce_Men05/04/25 08:11 PM
1

Oh wow that sucks…18months is a lot.
/r/Divorce_Men03/04/25 02:37 AM
1

He can completely date and do whatever he wants to do at this point. Divorce has been filed, he ain’t going back…so if you like him, go for him. He’s completely at liberty to do whatever she wants to do.
/r/Divorce_Men01/04/25 03:46 PM
17

My ex wife told me she wanted divorce but still wants me to stay in the house and pay her bills cos she’s a sahm. My brother…move on and never look back. She’s gonna regret
/r/Divorce_Men30/03/25 03:45 AM
4

Why are you against her taking your son to church? What’s the big deal?
/r/Divorce_Men29/03/25 06:52 PM
1

So since the equity needs to be shared, how am I going to get this money? Does she need to sell the house? So we can share?
/r/Divorce_Men28/03/25 05:40 PM
1

For me I don’t care about whatever she’s doing at her end. She might care about mine….i filed for the divorce so I was checked out already.
/r/Divorce_Men28/03/25 12:48 PM
1

Will do same too
/r/Divorce_Men28/03/25 12:45 PM
1

Wow congratulations my brother! That’s wild…$200k?? Wow
/r/Divorce_Men28/03/25 12:44 PM
1

Worth it with the right person but be careful because it is a long slippery road full of surprises. Be sure of your decision brother! Goodluck
/r/Divorce_Men28/03/25 12:39 PM
10

Let her go man!! My son first.
/r/Divorce_Men28/03/25 01:14 AM
1

I think my legal team will advise me on what to do
/r/Divorce_Men28/03/25 01:12 AM
2

Hopefully it doesn’t get there but she’s been playing dirty so won’t be surprised.
/r/Divorce_Men28/03/25 01:11 AM
2

Haha
/r/Divorce_Men27/03/25 11:38 PM
2

The thing is she’s representing herself so she does not feel the pain of loosing money to attorneys
/r/Divorce_Men27/03/25 09:32 PM
1

I think so I’m in Texas though.
/r/Divorce_Men27/03/25 04:59 PM
1

Nice information
/r/Divorce_Men27/03/25 04:59 PM
3

Before might hold some weight but after shouldn’t. But generally judges don’t care about infidelity like that in a divorce case because it is normal.
/r/Divorce_Men27/03/25 04:58 PM
3

Naa haven’t blown any cash on any woman at all after separation. I’m sure my legal team will help me prep for all this when we get there.
/r/Divorce_Men27/03/25 04:57 PM
1

Thanks
/r/Divorce_Men27/03/25 03:31 PM
1

Thanks
/r/Divorce_Men27/03/25 03:31 PM
1

For me I want 50/50 custody but I have also agreed to pay the max child support in Texas for my son this $1840. Agreed to pay insurance for my son. Split my account in half and 401k in half. She wants alimony for 2years for a 3.5yrs marriage which I won’t agree but I’m willing to support her for 3 months to get back up. Still she won’t even agree for us to talk.
/r/Divorce_Men26/03/25 02:05 PM
1

Money will be wasted but that’s her end game. I don’t mind making my attorney rich whilst she continues to be unreasonable.
/r/Divorce_Men26/03/25 01:32 PM
1

Yeah after meditation will evaluate my options and see if trial will help.
/r/Divorce_Men26/03/25 01:30 PM
1

Well noted. Won’t agree to anything that’s outside of what is Normal.
/r/Divorce_Men26/03/25 01:27 PM
1

Hopefully she calms down so we can all reason together and do what’s best for everyone. She’s bitter I filed for divorce, she wanted to be the one to do that shit. Just funny how someone pressures you for divorce all your life and later on act like she’s the victim.
/r/Divorce_Men26/03/25 01:25 PM
1

Oh yes for sure.
/r/Divorce_Men26/03/25 01:07 PM
2

This is court ordered and he’s a retired judge in Texas and does mediation so I’m guessing he will use the state guidelines. He was the presiding judge for Texas 247th district and has one of the highest mediation settlement rates in Texas. Hopefully before we get there, stbxw will be more reasonable to settle.
/r/Divorce_Men26/03/25 03:33 AM
2

Did you settle yours during mediation?
/r/Divorce_Men26/03/25 01:09 AM
1

Sucks mehn
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 10:43 PM
1

Crazy Mehn
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 10:16 PM
2

Brother my divorce should be a breeze but when you dealing with people who have lost touch with reality it becomes difficult.
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 09:12 PM
1

Thanks very much. We agree on custody, taxes, child support I’ve offered to pay her the max. Pay child health insurance, split my 401k and also give her half of my money. Alimony for 3.5 years marriage will be a stretch in Texas but let’s see what happens.
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 08:56 PM
1

We agree on lots of things, financials and alimony is what will cause disagreements and stbxw wants me to pay child support for her son who isn’t my son neither did I adopt him so that’s where the impasse will be.
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 08:46 PM
1

Oh ok cool
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 08:42 PM
1

Yeah if it’s not going anywhere then we will stop and leave.
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 08:42 PM
1

Will see it through…want to be done with that shit
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 08:23 PM
1

So he will go through all your financial records and check to see if you’re hiding money etc? Or mediation is whatever you have in your account will be divided? No more going through to see if you’re hiding money or not?
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 08:12 PM
1

Dang.
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 08:07 PM
2

Did your legal team perform discovery before you went into mediation? What documents did you present to the mediator in order to divide assets?
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 07:53 PM
2

Congratulations which mediator did yall use and how long were you married?
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 07:47 PM
0

It was just a thought not something I would even do. Already spent $13000 in legal fees so will definitely see it through.
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 02:31 PM
1

That’s true…was married for 3.5yrs….hopefully mediation works
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 04:37 AM
6

Damn
/r/Divorce_Men25/03/25 01:29 AM
1

File to put myself on child support pay the max I have to pay so my son can be taken care of. Already pay my son’s health insurance. Don’t have any issue paying it. Traditional wedding is not recognized by the state since it doesn’t involve the courts. Like travel to say Africa, get married and have kids…ex settles then you bring your new wife and kids over. File for modification of cs. I’m looking to divorce and be free but I’m just thinking about alternatives you know lol
/r/Divorce_Men24/03/25 04:51 PM
2

I have one
/r/Divorce_Men23/03/25 04:17 PM
3

Yeah will do
/r/Divorce_Men23/03/25 04:17 PM
1

This transfer was made Jan 2024…at that time divorce was even far from my mind. She asked for divorce in July last year. Filed divorce this year Jan.

/r/Divorce_Men18/03/25 02:55 PM
1

She knew my mom and dad was sick and because of that I wanted to even go home and see them before anything happens to them. She didn’t know the amount but she’s been in the known about my parents conditions since 2years ago.
/r/Divorce_Men18/03/25 02:54 PM

Just sucks mehn
/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 06:32 PM

/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 03:54 PM
1

Discovery has not been filed yet….don’t even know if it will be necessary as we are looking to settle through mediation. She is representing herself. No attorney
/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 03:31 PM
1

They don’t but will hit the account soon…well as you said will buy things of no value.
/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 03:25 PM
1

Sucks mehn
/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 03:24 PM
1

Why did she hate it
/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 02:32 AM
1

I filed a no fault, she wouldn’t sign waiver so I filed for contested. Hopefully we change it during mediation

/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 12:45 AM
1

Congratulations brother
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 04:23 AM
1

She’s representing herself and I do not want to give her my financial docs.
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 01:57 AM
2

I’m not contesting but she is so don’t know what mediation will do for us. Hopefully we get a deal done
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 12:55 AM
1

Mine was uncontested but since she was stalling had to change it to contest so that she can be forced to appear before court. Hopefully we change it back to uncontested.
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 12:54 AM
4

It is clear in there, only when you change employment. Tell her to go to court if she doesn’t agree. Don’t loose sleep over this.
/r/Divorce_Men13/03/25 01:35 PM

Nice
/r/Divorce_Men11/03/25 10:31 PM

/r/Divorce_Men11/03/25 05:58 PM
1

Nice congrats brother
/r/Divorce_Men11/03/25 05:35 PM
1

I mean after Jan 2nd…any pay I receive from my work is separate property? All bonuses and taxes after the date I filed is separate property? All I have is just income coming from my job…no joint accounts together, I’ve not taken any money out of 401k too
/r/Divorce_Men11/03/25 05:18 PM
2

Yeah all marital funds I think.
/r/Divorce_Men11/03/25 04:44 PM
2

How long were yall married?
/r/Divorce_Men11/03/25 04:44 PM
1

Wow how many times
/r/Divorce_Men11/03/25 04:43 PM
1

Congratulations…did you go to mediation? How long did it take?
/r/Divorce_Men11/03/25 03:26 PM
1

Happened whilst separated for months.
/r/Divorce_Men10/03/25 01:28 AM
1

That’s it bro…you’re done. Congratulations
/r/Divorce_Men09/03/25 02:10 PM
3

We were married for 3.5years…No alimony.
/r/Divorce_Men09/03/25 04:43 AM
2

Did she sign at mediation?
/r/Divorce_Men09/03/25 04:42 AM
1

Why do you think so?
/r/Divorce_Men08/03/25 08:58 AM
3

Congratulations man! I’m extremely happy for you…going through mine and I wish it was finalized today too…pick yourself up, build back up and you’d be fine brother! Stay strong and keep pushing!
/r/Divorce_Men07/03/25 02:14 AM
3

I was married to her for only 3.5 years…the kid was 12years old when I came into their life. Knows his dad, dad sends him money for birthdays, child goes and visits him in jail etc so I don’t need any birth certificate to prove that he’s not my son or anything. I’m not going to pay child support for some dad who decided to do bad stuff and end up in jail. His mom should pay.
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/25 08:21 PM
2

I’m not doing it Man. This is a child who knows his dad, talks to his dad, visits and besides he is old enough to work. Never had a dad relationship with him
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/25 08:10 PM
2

I will never in my life accept this and the case should go to trial. Cannot be equitable parent if he knows and visits his dad and talks to his dad. Besides I never claimed to be his dad anywhere.
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/25 07:34 PM
2

Bio Dad never paid CS, the kid was 12 …why should pay CS when the kid knows his dad, and talks to him often?
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/25 07:08 PM
2

What? 3years
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/25 07:04 PM
1

We all stayed together…for 3.5 years
/r/Divorce_Men05/03/25 07:28 PM
1

The child was 13yrs when I got married to his mom.
/r/Divorce_Men05/03/25 07:11 PM
1

Hopefully mine goes well.
/r/Divorce_Men05/03/25 06:17 AM
1

Thanks very much…the total I gave in all is like $800
/r/Divorce_Men05/03/25 06:17 AM
6

Things will be fine just keep pushing brother….im going through mine and Mehn for me no matter how bad it gets, I would be super happy I’m not with her anymore.
/r/Divorce_Men04/03/25 05:38 PM
1

Yeah but since the zelle shows their name that’s what I’m concerned about if she goes after her.
/r/Divorce_Men02/03/25 11:22 PM
2

Totality like $800 but spread across different accounts and different days.
/r/Divorce_Men02/03/25 10:39 PM
1

Sucks mehn…during the process did you get to see her financial documents in person and reviewed with your lawyer?
/r/Divorce_Men02/03/25 08:20 PM
1

In Texas…we need to be 10yrs married before alimony can be given. Didn’t do it whilst in marriage but when we were separated.
/r/Divorce_Men02/03/25 06:06 PM
1

My attorney filed against her. So hopefully they remove it…don’t want any drama…just want to move on with my life.
/r/Divorce_Men28/02/25 09:12 PM
1

Sucks brother but you’ll get through it. As long as there is life you’ll be fine. Let her do whatever she’s wants to do…you’ll be way bigger after this battle. Keep pushing and Goodluck.
/r/Divorce_Men28/02/25 03:37 AM
5

Brother, let it go…navy bootcamp helped me last year when I decided I was going to file for it. Went to bootcamp, went through all the stress but it was fun. Joining the navy won’t be bad brother…Goodluck when you join. I’m a QM in the navy.
/r/Divorce_Men28/02/25 02:15 AM
2

You too brother
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 04:45 PM
4

Don’t worry about alimony…in Texas you have to be married for 10yrs atleast to qualify. I’m going through divorce and we were married for 3.5yrs. My attorney has emphasized that I won’t pay alimony.
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 03:45 PM
1

Why did it take that long for you guys to go to mediation?
/r/Divorce_Men26/02/25 06:25 PM
2

How long did it take you guys to go to mediation?
/r/Divorce_Men26/02/25 04:20 PM
3

Congratulations brother…get some wine and enjoy your evening brother! Sucks but your next life will be better.
/r/Divorce_Men21/02/25 10:47 PM
1

Move on brother! Mine cheated, lied so many times to my face that I became numb to it but when the time was due for me to make my decision!! I made it and never looked back….trust me it gets better with a few weeks.
/r/Divorce_Men18/02/25 04:55 PM
1

Damn how long were yall married and how many kids?
/r/Divorce_Men17/02/25 09:24 PM
2

Is like women want to punish you for being a provider
/r/Divorce_Men14/02/25 03:33 AM
1

How long were you guys married?
/r/Divorce_Men14/02/25 02:06 AM
2

Hopefully mine agrees so we don’t have to go the long route.
/r/Divorce_Men13/02/25 11:17 PM
2

After what she did yes. Mind you she didn’t even tell me herself…she called my attorney to inform him of her decision to divorce me and attorney relayed it to me.Asked her if she wanted it she said yes so I should beg?? No.
/r/Divorce_Men12/02/25 09:04 PM
1

As in did the processor try to server her first for her to refuse before the court granted you the option to do it via publication?
/r/Divorce_Men12/02/25 06:18 PM
3

I’m going to do that
/r/Divorce_Men12/02/25 06:18 PM
1

How many times did processor tried before court granted divorce by publication?
/r/Divorce_Men12/02/25 05:49 PM
2

It’s just stupid that women get to do whatever they want and courts just don’t give AF….we have a court date set, she wouldn’t sign the waiver or even let processor serve her. Like why drag it…..atleast sign the papers, let’s get the process going and you can say all your lies
/r/Divorce_Men12/02/25 05:44 PM
2

How did the lawyer handle it?
/r/Divorce_Men12/02/25 05:39 PM
2

Attorney fees are crazy nowadays brother…paid 10k and stbxw hasn’t even signed the citation or waiver yet.
/r/Divorce_Men12/02/25 05:32 PM
1

That’s crazy 80k spent on attorneys? Why?
/r/Divorce_Men11/02/25 04:03 PM
1

Yeah but the process takes longer and that means more attorney fees. Already paid 10k in fees and she has not responded yet.
/r/Divorce_Men11/02/25 03:25 AM
1

No it won’t help me in any way.
/r/Divorce_Men10/02/25 11:50 PM
3

Congratulations brother! You’ll be great
/r/Divorce_Men05/02/25 04:25 PM
1

Bro just paid $9000 to my lawyer for them to start mine and I’m in Texas. Wife wants to contest so I have no choice.
/r/Divorce_Men05/02/25 04:21 PM
8

Let her go bro…was in the same situation for 3.5 years…finally I let her go bro
/r/Divorce_Men05/02/25 02:38 PM
3

Hey buddy…hang in there…take a deep breath and recalibrate…all that disrespect etc ain’t worth your life. If you good financially take a mini vac and relax. Think everything through and make a decision. More power to you brother!
/r/Divorce_Men05/02/25 02:36 PM
5

Man, don’t care about what she’s doing…time will tell. Stay strong brother and more power to you.
/r/Divorce_Men30/01/25 04:49 AM
1

It’s a family house…everyone contributed.
/r/Divorce_Men28/01/25 05:07 PM
1

Thanks for this information
/r/Divorce_Men28/01/25 05:06 PM
1

Was used for parents medical bills and also a house for my parents back home.
/r/Divorce_Men28/01/25 04:25 PM
1

So if I had a chunk of money transferred last year in January but divorce got filed this year Jan…do they still use last years money in the 50/50 calculation since it was acquired during marriage?
/r/Divorce_Men28/01/25 03:43 PM
1

So the 50/50 do they do it through mediation or her lawyer would come up with what she wants after discovery?
/r/Divorce_Men28/01/25 03:41 PM
2

Sucks but you basically get screwed for being a hard working dad.
/r/Divorce_Men28/01/25 03:32 PM
6

Bro was it done amicably? Cos your process took less time even with a kid involved. I filed for mine this month even though she asked for divorce but now after she got served, she wants to contest. Just sucks cos I didn’t want to play dirty but looks like she wants to really play dirty.
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/25 06:51 PM
5

😂😂😂 yeah I meet my attorney next week. She’ll tell me what to do next and start prepping me.
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/25 06:45 PM
1

Why you paying for spousal support even though marriage lasted less than 10years
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/25 06:22 PM
2

She won’t get maintenance from me
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/25 03:39 AM
2

Damn that sucks
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/25 03:38 AM
0

Name was not on the deed or title
/r/Divorce_Men15/01/25 11:05 PM
3

Oh yeah I will go after everything
/r/Divorce_Men15/01/25 11:04 PM
2

My attorney told me I can go for reimbursement cos I paid almost 70k into the house as (Mortgage)
/r/Divorce_Men15/01/25 08:27 PM
0

Only the equity accrued during marriage or everything accrued since she purchased the house?
/r/Divorce_Men15/01/25 08:26 PM
2

Praying it goes well.
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/25 06:17 PM
2

The house was hers before we even met. We have a set schedule for the child and it’s been working fine. She got a masters degree so she doesn’t have any excuse to stay home. She can find work that would pay her for her to take care of her basic needs.
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/25 06:16 PM
1

I can definitely prove to the court that she can earn a living. She has a masters degree so there is nothing limiting her from finding a job.
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/25 05:30 AM
2

We were married for 3.5 years so according to Texas law I don’t have to pay spousal support. The highest I can pay for CS is $1840 since Texas got a cap at $9200 monthly net income.
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/25 05:29 AM
1

We are now about to hit 4 years of marriage…you think the judge will order me to pay her alimony?
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/24 09:37 PM
1

She is a stay at home mom
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/24 08:18 PM
1

Wow that was smart haha
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/24 08:17 PM
1

Cool will do.
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/24 08:17 PM
1

Awesome. I’m going for it now…I spend close to $3000 on my son every month so this is a win
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/24 04:50 PM
2

So they won’t calculate the child support on the 230k I make because the Cap is set at $9200?
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/24 04:43 PM
1

I don’t plan to loose it but I have been away due to millitary call up and I know they cannot fire me whilst I’m away but when I return they can. Just don’t know their plans but I’m just kinda presuming if something like that should happen…how quickly can I get it reduced?
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/24 04:37 PM
2

Sucks mehn, on my end, our sexual life sucks and I’ve not been able to catch her cheating but my guts and instincts tells me that she has cheating multiple times on me. So I’m just gonna leave her so she can live her double life. I plan on talking to an attorney and see how best we can proceed. Already told her I want a divorce but she said she doesn’t want it. But my mind is made up, I just need to take that step.
/r/Divorce_Men03/09/24 11:07 PM
1

Did she cheat on you?
/r/Divorce_Men03/09/24 08:52 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
