Hey guys, just looking at how fucked I’m going to be should I go to trial since stbxw is not trying to cooperate. Before I filed for divorce this year, I had made a couple of transfers for my parents medical bills last year maybe like 30k ish…pops suffering from prostrate and moms condition that affected her leg so bad and other maintenance of the house they live in. Aside that I owed my friend 20k…took this money when I didn’t have a job and was doing delivery to take care of the family so that really helped so had to pay it back. Now I roughly have like maybe 75k in total savings and checking. Mediation is coming and I honestly plan to give her half of this money so we can settle and also pay child support for my son. Now my thing is…are they still going to divide the monies I sent for my parents bills and the loan I took to take care of us when times were hard? I have proof and evidence to back it up but has anyone been through this before? How did it hold up during discovery or trial? I’m in Texas.
