Women do care for different reasons. If they can, they will suggest clothes for you to wear and alter your wardrobe. Women care if you're fashionable. There are lots of videos online of girls showing their boyfriends' transformation from before and after they starteddating. Men don't show much skin because men learn not to draw too much attention to themselves by dressing conservatively because they are taught that from day 1. Whereas women have more choices and are constantly pushing the limits of what's acceptable to wear outside. So yes, women's outfits are labelled as inappropriate more often because they are. Even though men are legally allowed to be shirtless in public. They show off less skin in general. Men can't get away with showing their arms or too much of their legs at work or formal events, but women can.

Does society think men’s body aren’t sexy as women

The average male body is less sexy than the average female body. Yes.

If you're muscular like a Greek statue then your body is beautiful and is deemed worthy of celebrating in art and movies etc. But that’s like 0.01% of men. The rest of us whose bodies are not ideal, we are deemed ugly by society.

Fingernails and toenails is important .. and shoes newish clean and unscuffed up .. because that is important to them personally as something they worship for themselves... LOL.

Heard too many of these Gen X, Y & Z dumping their 10th, 20th or 30th+ boyfriend because his car wasn't brand-new with new car smell, but was already a few years old with 30K miles on it

For women like that, it's about perception of status. They'll dress a man up to meet whatever social status they want to be perceived at, because that's what they'd do as well. This is ultimately FOR attention FOR THEMSELVES, as men typically do not care about how they appear unless they need to care for a small set of reasons. Women like this tend to reject this line of thought because it does not conform to their world view. As a result, typically if a man like this dresses up, he's either with his partner, his partner suspects something, or it's for one of the small obvious reasons where he cares about appearance.

For men like that, it's acknowledging something similar. They'll dress a woman down to not attract attention so they either don't appear single or promiscuous. This is FOR THEIR PARTNER, as women typically dress for status. Men are not typically not oblivious to this and subtly acknowledge it. Typically, if a woman like this dresses up, she's either with her partner, her partner suspects something because she's likely doing something, or she just wants attention.

I had to read this a couple times before it made sense to me. Bottom line I’m probably not hot enough for it to ever across the girlfriends mind. The only experience I’ve ever had with the GF caring about what I where was them trying to improve my wardrobe because I just don’t care once she bought me a really nice pair of $50 jeans while i was at Nordstrom with her I kept telling her not to buy it that I think they were $50 and the $50 for a pair of jeans was a total waste of money She demanded that I except them because I had never had a nice pair of jeans before to compare them to and I have to confess they were definitely the best pair of jeans I have around I still retain the same mentality of spending money on clothes but I can’t say that didn’t change my perspective.

Not in the same way, but I've absolutely seen people get up in arms about the way a man dresses. "Those shorts are really short." "you're wearing THAT to Sunday brunch?" "I like this shirt on you, you should wear it more."

It really probably doesn't have much to do with women being concerned other women will be attracted to their men. It's either that a) they don't think about it or b) they're too focused on themselves

I have yet to see a dude running around in yoga pants three sizes too small and a crop top. Thank god for that, I don't want to see that. Maybe it's just because I am a country boy, Dude mostly just wear a tshirt and jeans and simple shit like that. And not that tight skinny jeans shit. Just, like, normal clothes.
