Most people seem to think that attractive people are playing on easy mode and have no trouble finding a partner when they're single. But in my experience, it's attractive people, both men and women, who end up being single for the longest time.

People generally date within their league. And since there are fewer attractive people out there, the dating pool is also much smaller. It's much harder for an attractive person to find another attractive person to date, than it is for an average person to find another average person. And not only do you need to filter for looks, you also need to filter for all the other things line personality, values, chemistry etc.

I'm not a male model but I'd consider myself decently attractive - 6'2, good physique, and maybe a 7.5 in the face department. Even then, I find it pretty much impossible to find someone who fits all my criteria and I'm also physically attracted. I can't even imagine what it would be like for a woman who's a 9 or a 10. No wonder so many attractive people choose to remain single instead of settling.
