Don't lie to people, but also don't volunteer the fact you have not been in a relationship before. Everyone has to start somewhere. Plenty of people shy away from relationships in their 20s because those are the years in college and trying to develop a career from ground zero and make it on their own. Life's tough. Just keep practicing, talk to more people and screen everyone well to get an idea what they're all about. Be curious and a good listener, find their likes, dislikes, passions and hobbies, etc. If you get bad vibes, move on. Don't date anyone you get a bad impression of and scrutinize more than physical traits. Compatibility is important if you're going to be investing time in a relationship.

The only way to know what you want is to have a lot of experience. That's the only way to know. Maybe try approaching all types of women, so that you can go on dates with different personalities. See my post on approaching and flirting to effectively do so.

If you don't want to play anyone, just don't escalate to the point of sex. You still can go on dates to experiment.

Women respect honesty. The right ones will stick around to see where it leads. The wrong ones filter themselves out. Period.
