I’ve experienced this personally and seen it online. For me this happened in a professional setting however I’ve also seen it publicly.

What happens is that a covert young radical feminist purposefully seduces the man (dresses up exceptionally to attract the man, laughs at all his jokes, flirts non verbally and basically puts herself ‘on a plate’ to the guy’). It’s totally unnatural and surreal which is the point because it’s meant to dislodge the target so they become ungrounded and entertain unrealistic ideas.

They continue to attract the man and deliberately induce sexual fantasies out of him via their behaviour (we all have them hiding in the back of our mind, it’s just natural) and then once you’ve been emotionally pulled they aggressively shift, flip the table and turn on the guy (most guys are stunned and in total confusion and shock at this point) and accuse him of being misogynistic, corrupted, a shameful individual etc (all whilst you are on the backfoot, disoriented, and trying to gather what the heck just happened’)… They impose on you that you’re a ‘bad person’ and they want you to internalise that.

In this state of cognitive dissonance (you had one initial idea in mind ‘believing this fantasy is coming to life’ vs ‘this novel, unknown, uncertain and unpredictable land you now sense and find you are in’) you may even be so disoriented and anxious that you just concede to be led (fawn) or go into a freeze response and that’s when with the power they have acquired they may seek to control, dominate and dictate/direct your actions (which are not to your benefit at all and to what extent they are willing to go and for what end). You are less likely to go into a flight or fight response because of the constraints being placed upon you e.g. moral injections of not harming a woman and the fear of consequences if you did.

It’s an intentional act as a means of seeking to get the person into a bind (“you did the acts, you felt that way”) and bond them (guilt them - “how could you do and think such awful things, you are a bad person”.

They are baiting and switching. It’s intentionally designed to harm the target. It’s very effective in exploiting vulnerabilities by manipulating human emotions, human nature, power dynamics, social identities, leveraging prominent political narratives that occupy the backdrop of our everyday interactions, and your social position.

Be very careful. Some of these young women are completely disillusioned after decades of hearing men are bad, in their minds they may genuinely believe this is justified and that they are ‘right’ to engage this behaviour and they may even believe it ‘highlights and shows’ men for the horrible individuals they are and that they are giving back what they get from men. Just be careful. These are dangerous times when you consider the ideological wars going on.
