You take the lead by sitting on the drivers seat tunring the car on and pushing the accelerator. You might crash sure, but getting somewhere with the car takes practice and making mistakes until you figure out.

However, you need to be willing to lose girls on the learning proccess. In other words, you cannot really talk to this girl thinking "i don't wanna fuck this up" or "i wanna make sure that whatever i do works well" because unfortunately that's not realistic, even if you had the experience, and even less realistic, when you seem to not have the experience.

If it’s someone you use to know really well. I’d just ask if she wanted to “catch-up” and grab drinks/watch baseball/insert activity you’d both enjoy here

Take it a little slow and feel out the vibe. That’s usually what I do anyways. Has a higher success rate for me.

I personally feel like jumping straight into it makes it kind of seem desperate and too eager. Nothing wrong with asking for number though and setting something up.
