(This is gonna be a long post, so bear with me. I created this account very recently because I wanted to get this out here, as it's been bothering me for a while. I'm not a regular Reddit user.)

I (20M) come from a South Asian Muslim background. I'm currently in college. I kind of switch at times between the redpill/manosphere mindset and the more, let's say, pro-women mindset, for lack of a better term. The thing is that I come from a conservative religious family, who raised me in an isolated environment, making me more introverted and somewhat socially awkward, although I can interact with strangers (and friends and family) pretty well now. I'm now more progressive in my religious beliefs.

Ever since the past couple of years or so, due to the lack of any intimate friendships/relationships, I've felt extremely isolated, lonely and devoid of purpose. I see many of my classmates from school having solid friendships and some even having romantic relationships. I see them constantly posting about their wonderful lives on social media and I can't help but resent my parents for raising me in such an isolated environment. Fyi, I don't interact much will literally anyone else except some classmates at university. Only me and my parents. That's how it is for 95% of the days.

My upbringing has made me so much lonelier and isolated. I'm also chronically online, which is why the red-pill was able to influence me in some ways.

I'm now lead to believe that western women will only want muscular tall white guys, who can be her prince charming, or something like that. Since I'm a brown guy, there's a really high possibility that I'll be rejected for the most part. Now, I could date girls of my own race, but the thing is that in my country, dating is a still a new thing among the younger generation (the elderly people still believe in traditional arranged marriages for the most part) and from what I've observed, the relationships that form via dating often contain a lot of drama and toxicity, and don't last very long. I'm obviously looking for a long-term relationship. I'm obviously not going for an arranged marriage, since my parents would probably force me to marry a religious conservative girl, which I'm not interested in at all.

Moreover, there's a lot of stereotypes of South Asian guys, particularly they're creepy, controlling, smell bad, threatening, mostly just people who work in tech or are Uber drivers, when I'm none of those things (except for maybe the tech part, since I'm doing my undergrad in Computer Engineering). Plus, the Islamophobia and racism in countries like the US is off the charts. For instance, I'm sure you've heard of the incident last year, where a white woman tried to harass and pepper spray her Uber driver, who was a Bangladeshi man. Plus, the hate and vitriol that I see being spewed towards South Asians (particularly men) is unfathomable.

This is the main reason why I'm scared of even approaching women in western societies. On top of these stereotypes, there's also the #MeToo stuff, which automatically get you labelled a creep, even if you approach a woman normally, which is more likely going to happen due to my skin color. Plus, I've seen videos where western women automatically demand princess treatment, without giving anything in return. I obviously don't want such one-sided relationships.

My parents just tell me to focus on university and my future career, which I'm completely fine with, as I definitely do want to a have successful career and get my dream job.

But, when I see couples doing cute things for each other on my university campus, I can't help but think that maybe something is wrong with me. Maybe my existence is a curse. Maybe I'm unlovable and destined to live and die alone, after my parents pass away. That intense feeling of loneliness oftens distracts me.
