Everything can work or not work depending on each person. It's about whether you manage to connect with the particular girl or not. It's not about "infallible tricks that guarantee no women can ever say no to you".

So when you ask "does X thing work?" it's a flawed question.

You can get rejected many times in DMs, much like you can get rejected many times in tinder, in social cirlcle, in nightclubs, in workplace, in daygame, in bars, in colleges, in gyms, and any imaginable situation where you might try to meet someone. And yet that doesn't mean you cannot meet people in any of those places and suceed here and there.

The principle of "sliding in DMs" it's no different than talking to someone in any other place. Be funny if you are funny, or be interesting if you are interesting, or express how things the woman does or wears cause you to feel or show your personality. Just don't be dull and don't play it too safe or neutral.

It's not about "a list of infallible pick-up lines that guarantee every woman will like you instantly and desire to spread her legs with you every single time with a 100% success ratio"

That's now how any of this works. You need a personality and if you don't have one, well no amount of specific lines or scripts people give you will "work" because women are not machines or computers that respond to specific inputs the same way. A woman can find a line funny and another find it offensive or boring and every woman will take the conversation in a different way you can't predict.

So this kind of questions where guys like you ask "please give me the infallible step by step script that makes women go from total strangers into sex" just are kind of pointless, you are not gonna get anyone if this is how you think of meeting someone.

You need to study from books fundamentals of social interactions, of how attraction works, on how to connect with someone, on how to be smooth spntaneously, on how to flirt and build sexual tension, on how to spark emotions and so on... I suggest you read this book and this other book on amazon that will help you how to pick up women without gimmicks or tricks to create authentic romantic and sexual connections with them.

In my case, I do both — approaching in person and using apps. For me, sending a message works, but never with a boring “hey.”

Yes, but only if your social media profile is good. Have a good profile with photos that show your interesting lifestyle, and she's more likely to reply.

Profile is very important. I hate taking pictures, my insta looks like nothing. You can find tips online. If you update your profile try to game like a player and you'll get some successrate. But girls look at your followers, if your stories are interesting and if you have an interesting life, then your dm. If you're a couch patato, it will be a long time before succes. But I don't do it for now cause I'm trying to level up my fitness, social circle and carreer. Eventually will try tinder maybe when I have build an awesome life and an awesome profile. Still expect like 5% successrate or below.
